All the elements in your image work together to create a beautiful piece. I also thought of the Wyeth painting upon seeing it. Great sky, I always feel that the sky can make or break the image. The simplicity of this piece feels good, especially in the chaos of today. Beautiful work. |

Love this, Helen. It has good textures and outstanding contrast. Sort of reminds me of a woodcut. I do think that Mt. Fuji is somewhat small especially compared to the size of the boats. But you have created a nice piece of work. |

Denise, excellent job with the composite. I do agree that the dragon needs to be a bigger player. Lightening the dragon is a big improvement. I agree that the color Original 3 is a fine choice, but is not the mono you need. Wonderful smoke. |

Georgianne, what a lot of work you have put into this image and to not be happy with the end result is disappointing. I'm not sure that the texture that you selected added to the result that you were hoping to reach. Great job with the glasses. Since there is no reflection on the glasses, maybe leaving the glasses on would give a nice effect. I agree that the RH side needs some work. I admire your tenacity. |

Alan, you detailed work always brings you to an excellent final image. Good job with the hair and changing the color of the dress. It was a good choice to change the angle of the osprey. The light beam adds a strong element to the image, and creates the power of the girl vs bird that makes the image work. Good job! |

Steve, good job with the transformation of the huts. They look much more like old grungy shacks. And you did a fine job with creating an overall monotone look. I agree that the boat looks too new. A few grungy texture layers should help. The sky is wonderful, so dark, and angry looking. Good job. |

Yes, I do like the horizon change. The sun is the important part, not all the top of the tree. It makes the image so much better. |

Geoffrey, this is a stunning image, and the feather added gives a story to it. I feel that it is better than the winning image too because of the feather. You did a fantastic job of removing the background. The background was a hard one to work around because it had similar subject matter behind the birds. There are many ways to accomplish things in Photoshop. The only thing that matters is the final result. Keep up the good work. |

Brenda, good work with your changes. Brightening the foreground really helps the image. The starburst sun makes the image and the tree branches and tree frame the sun perfectly, good job. |

Jacob, you found a well lit colorful bouquet. Now that you have the image, it needs some editing as noted above, cropping, vignette, maybe some blurring. The problem with phone photography on an image like this is that everything is in focus. Ideally, you would want the center sharp and the area around the bouquet out of focus. Start using a camera; you will see better results. |

Pierre, the early morning light is perfect for the water and the goslings. Darkening the highlights in the water might bring more emphasis to the goslings. Two looking to the right and two to the left with the 3/2 split completes the perfect image. |

Even if it is an old image, Dean, it is a fine one. The highlights are exposed perfectly. And you took it at the perfect moment to have the halo perfectly centered. I assume it got pretty dark there during the eclipse. Here in Florida it it never got dark.
It is good that you are staying close to home as we are. It is not safe out there, too many people not adhering to guidelines. |

Great capture of the elephant family at sunset, Mervyn. The sunset is beautiful and gives a nice, warm glow to the elephants and rest of the scene. The new crop works well to bring the focal area to the elephants. With the lighting behind the elephants they are somewhat dark with the sky exposed for the sunset. I would prefer to retain the sky exposure and only brighten the elephants and other shadows. The Camera Raw Filter and a curves layer are able to bring up the shadows and not affect the other tones. Looks like we will be enjoying lots of elephants this year. |
