Jan, another one of your superb images. All the parts seem to mesh together perfectly. The addition of the lights and increasing the brightness between the buildings, especially at the bottom (street level) brings the image together. The neutral color palette, fog and the perspective of the buildings creates the needed mood. |

Denise, you have created a much better mood to the image with the shadows and smoke. The dark background behind the "Grinch" gives what is needed for him to be the main idea of the image. The lantern probably needs more prominence. I feel that it might be better on the right and brighter as if giving light to his face. Good idea to desaturate the background. |

Georgianne, young love always provides an image with lots of possibilities. The use of the camellia blossom was a good choice. I agree with Alan about the hair and Steve that you need for one to be the point of view. The blossom provides an anchoring frame to the couple. The image is overall too bright for my taste. I used your second image and added a slight glow and vignette as well as a B&W layer at low opacity. This brought down the brightness and reduced the sat. |

Alan, simplicity always works better than too much clutter, less is more (better). All the details of this image work so well together. Creating a diagonal with the tiles to represent steps was so smart. It creates the line to pull the entire image together. The background gradient concentrates the interest on the players in the image. Good work.
And I admire you for removing the first image. It was an excellent image, but not right now. |

Your daffodils are a breath of fresh air, Steve. To me they indicate that winter is ending, and spring is here. Your background creates exactly what is needed to let the daffodil faces shine. Good to know that phone can be used to give greater depth of field. Stay safe. |

Thank you, Alan, your encouraging comments are always appreciated. I planned to put the horse on a different background from the beginning. I loved the stately pose. |

Georgianne, by going to Hazel Meredith's and Photomorphosis' website you should be able to see the textures. I am hesitant to post them as someone might try to use them. They were purchased with understanding that they were not to be shared. |

Geoffrey, you have captured such wonderful sharpness in the eyes, face and front legs of the monkey. It has given a personality to the monkey. It is a refreshing image in these times. |

Pierre, the texture on the tree trunk is presented so crisp against the blurred background. Did you notice the writing on the lower right side of the trunk? The lines on the trunk frame the snow filled hole and area above the hole well. Good job. |

Dean, you have captured an image with a color palette that leads your eye around the image. The flower on the left takes the post of importance with its sharpness and the added bee. After that the other yellow and blue flowers lead you around the image on the well blurred background. Even the spider looking plant at the bottom has its place. Well taken. |

Mervyn, You have two interesting groupings of the elephants. The group at the water is made more interesting with the darkened areas where they are wet. Also, it may be that the three on the right are a family with the baby. It makes a better story that the one elephant is facing you and seems to separate the other two from the group. The mother and baby in the back complete the story. I'm wondering what the blurred areas in the grass are? Good work. |

Thanks, Dean. Do you see the tree formed in the sand? I love the little bird footprint trails in the wet sand. |

Geoffrey, my first thought was to crop out the water completely. However, I left it in to give the viewer an idea of where the image was taken. |
