Jan, see image added to reply to Denise. Is this what you were thinking, add detail to rocks and grass or is it too much? |

Such a nice, soft, flowing image. Georgianne's edit is a nice improvement. The oil paint filter adds needed softness. The shadows are lovely. I too would like a little more room on the left. |

Yes, this definitely makes a good Halloween type image. The moody girls, darkening of the background and lightning certainly lend the image to a Halloween feel. Good job |

Georgianne, excellent job. The water clean up and highlighting the boat was done perfectly. Everything you did makes this image work. |

Steve, good job with the dancers. I get it that you were trying to mask the background with the faces and ghost dancers. However, they don't appeal to me. I agree with Jan and Denise about the faces and ghost dancers. Maybe a texture of some sort to mask the background. |

Nice flight image of the gannet. It is a pretty big crop. I tried to improve the eye-sel color-neutral less black then duplicate layer. |

Your composition is beautiful, Brenda. The sand falling on the right side is perfect. I feel like you lost detail in the background because it is so dark. Using the Adobe Camera Filter did not help with the background detail. Increasing clarity did improve the sharpness and detail in the image. Great job with trying conditions. |

Jacob, Mervyn and Isaac have certainly improved the image with their edits. In the future, think about moving closer to your subject to eliminate the distractions. I cropped tighter, sharpened the seed pods with sharpen tool and added vignette. |

Pierre, good dof on the deer, however the background is distracting to me. Maybe is you had used the F/2.8 that the lens offers the background would have been softer. That lens is quite good with detail and would have probably retained sharpness in the face and head. Another option would be to crop some of the background out. In my opinion flipping the image would be an improvement. |

This is s very interesting image with the star burst. I agree with Brenda that the image went dark when the starburst was added. Maybe you could initially lighten the birds in RAW. Then add starburst and bring back lighter birds by layering the two images and using a mask. |

Nice results with phone through bus window. Maybe the sky is a little bright. |

Thanks, Isaac, it was difficult to give detail to the fish, so it would would be visible and contrast to the bird. |
