Helen, you have two beautiful granddaughters with seemingly different personalities that are shown well in their portraits. I feel that you have given Raquel a beautiful gift . |

Denise, everything works well together in this image. The rain, lightning, dark clouds and fire. I do agree that the man is a bit too bright compared to the other elements. Georgianne's crop and darkening seem to complete the image. Good job. |

Georgianne, Lightening the buildings toward the back worked well as did the rust texture on the buildings. I agree with some of the other comments that the opacity of the texture needs to be reduced in the sky and trees. |

Steve, good job removing the distracting background clutter with the radial blur. You have an interesting group of people in your band. The darker radial blur seems to remove the brightness from the background and pulls the eye away from your subjects less. I might have brought smiles to the faces of some of the more glum looking band members. |

Alan, Good job. You selected a good variety of people to ride the horses. Love the uncluttered background. The carousel is presented at a nice angle, and the horses coming down create a good line. I think I would have selected several different horses instead of using the same one throughout the image. And I would like to see just a bit more of the rider on the far right. The moon creates a good balance for the image. You put this together well.
good job. |

I flipped the sky, added a layer mask, and reduced opacity to give some pink reflection in the water. |

The pink cast was left intentionally to give a feeling that the pink sky is creating a cast along the berg, hills and water. Not a strong cast but just a hint of clouds or mist or whatever you would like to think it is. |

Geoffrey, you have captured a beautiful gannet. It has a nice clean background and interesting nesting material. The angles of the wing give interest to the image. The color is beautiful. The image is a bit noisy, |

Brenda, beautiful colors, and I agree with Larry's crop. The tree across the top and foreground frame the image nicely. I do feel that a stroke is needed to define the edge of the image and set it off from the background. |

Jocob, nice color palette with the butterfly/moth and foliage. Usually, it is recommended to have foliage that is fresh and not eaten by other bugs. The butterfly seems out of focus, I don't know if this is because you were too close or focused on the foliage instead of insect. AS Mervyn said the angle of the butterfly seems awkward. Usually it is better to have the wings equal in size. |

Pierre, nice capture of the male cardinal, all puffed up to stay warm. It is unfortunate that there was no open area in the background to use to photograph the bird. the colors are nice and work well together. Isaac has given a crop to eliminate some of the background clutter and has helped to sharpen the bird. |

Dean, interesting shot of a bird that is a bird that is unfamiliar to me. It is unfortunate that the background is so distracting. The color of the bird is beautiful, and wings as well. The dark head obscures the eyes. |

Mervyn, good angle of the stilt and nice reflection. The red legs certainly add color and interest. The head appears somewhat soft at the close range we view on the computer. However, when it is viewed further away as would be viewed projected, it doesn't seen to appear too soft. The little fish in the mouth is an added piece of interest. |

No, nothing special to bring out tiny feathers. The texture was added, and I used multiply blend mode at reduced opacity. Because the original background was so bright, the darker texture and blend mode brought the feathers to the top of the layer. |
