Jan, what a fun image you have created. Reshaping the blimp and using all the textures gives the whimsical look that was needed to put it all together. All the parts on the airship give it such a nice antique feel. Wonderful image and excellent work. |

Helen, you are doing a good job with what you have to use. The swirl is lovely as always. It has a nice color palette, lines and curves. |

Denise, this is a well thought out image. The merlin is well placed and lit. I would like to see some interaction with the water and his hand, maybe having the hand a little lower in the water and the water flowing over it. The bow also seems to be missing the tip. It is a very peaceful image. |

Nice work with the textures, Georgianne. You have created an interesting effect with the flowers in twos. I do agree with Jan that it might be a good idea to extend the branch on the right. Good work. |

Well done, and quite interesting. I am curious as to why you included the edge of the doorway on the left side? The gradient tool gives me trouble every time I try to use it too. The white lines in the center were a good choice. They bring the eye right in to the head. |

Steve, you found the perfect base for your sphere. Do you have trouble keeping the sphere clean when working around water? You were wise to keep the horizon unbalanced rather than dividing it exactly in half. You created the perfect depth of field for the background. I might have placed the sphere more off center. Good job. |

Nice night sky photography with an interesting foreground. I'm not sure about the natural colors of the subjects, but it does seem somewhat too saturated. |

Brenda, your edit gives the flower a nice transparent effect. |

Wise old owl-Donna the owl is beautiful. The diagonal angle of the bird and stump give the interest that is needed.I don't love the tree trunk that is running up the right side of the image and behind the owl, but not much can be done about that. The eyes are well lit and are the dominant part of the bird, bringing the viewer straight to the eyes. |

Pierre, the bird is well posed. Some of the branches behind the bird are distracting. Removing the ones sticking out from the sides of the bird might improve the image. I also feel that the image needs more contrast and sharpness. Also increasing the exposure a smidge should bring more pop to the bird. |

Lovely color palette. The back lit lighter vegetation and tree silhouette work well together. It might improve the image to open some of the shadows in the darkest areas of the bottom. the sky is beautiful. |

Mervin, I feel that you have included a lot of water on the bottom that really has little interest except for the sunrise reflection. Cropping some of that off would bring more interest to the bird and rising sun. Those two elements in the image play off of each other to create interest. It is hard to see that the bird is an osprey since the head does not extend very far above the wing span. |

Wildlife is not predictable. For any image, there will usually be more interest when one item is different in a group or collection. |
