34 Dec 18 Comment Good job, Jan. This looks simple but i'm sure had a long set up time. Your finished product looks perfect. Dec 15th
34 Dec 18 Comment Helen, this is just wonderful. I love the colors and effect. Dec 15th
34 Dec 18 Comment Denise, Love the idea, love the placement of the items and love the steam effect from the right cup. I do agree with Steve that the water flow on the left has too much of a cure. Maybe a different water source with a bigger flow would solve the problem. Your granddaughter is darling. Dec 15th
34 Dec 18 Comment Georgianne, magnolias are always beautiful. I think you chose a good crop. I do agree that the whites on the right became to bright with your edits. I also feel that the whites in general are somewhat too bright and have caused a loss of detail. Jan's crop and editing, concentrating on the seed pod eliminates most of that problem. Overall, good job in an overly busy month. have a wonderful Holiday. Dec 15th
34 Dec 18 Comment Steve, you have put together an interesting group. I agree that you found a good background for them. I also agree that the shadows need work. Some of your characters seem to be floating. They are placed well and the flow is nice. I also find that the edges on some of your goths, especially the two women dressed alike and the man in the red coat, are a bit too crisp which makes them look pasted onto the background. Frequently, this can be solved by slightly blurring the edge with the blur tool. It's nice to see them all together. Dec 15th

69 Dec 18 Comment Hi Geoffrey, welcome to our group. We try to be helpful by making constructive comments. Please take them as that and not personally. I find your eagle with blood on the beak quite compelling. All bird photographers have hundreds or thousands of images with clipped wings, feet, etc. That can usually be solved with a tighter crop. Your background is nicely blurred to highlight the bird. I look forward to more of your birds and landscapes. Dec 15th
69 Dec 18 Comment Dean, this is an interesting presentation of the two butterflies. The underside of the lower one shows great wing detail. While the upper one with diagonal wings adds another piece of interest. It would have been nice to be able to see the head of the lower butterfly instead of the big group of lavender flowers. We had a judge at our camera club last week that wanted only odd numbers of subjects. It is always hard to isolate your subject when there are so many. Dec 10th
69 Dec 18 Comment Donna, you found a beautiful place to photograph this heron. The feather detail is lovely with perfect sharpness. You were fortunate to find this bird with breeding plumes. I feel that the varied colors of green in the foliage of the background add needed interest to your image. Dec 10th
69 Dec 18 Comment Nice lines with the diagonal of the wings. I do agree that brightening the eye would bring more attention to the bird as well as adding a catch light. The feather detail on the bird is outstanding, and the V of the tree adds interesting lines to the image. Dec 10th
69 Dec 18 Comment Beautiful image, Mervyn. Looking down on the river adds interesting detail to the image. Looks like you found the perfect spot. The reflections in the river give added color and interest in this masterpiece. The leading line and curve of the river bring you straight to the mountain. The single tree leaning over the river adds another leading line to your image. The rocks breaking up the water and forming ripples bring added interest to the river. The multicolored layers of rock break up the sameness of the mountains. The interest added by the beautiful pink of the clouds finishes the "painting". Dec 10th
