Jan, your image is so well composed. Every item seems to be in the perfect place. Each clock is beautiful alone and with all of them together they just shine. I love the lone blackbird on the left. The texture in the "sky" really adds to the overall effect. The sketch version, in my opinion, creates the best overall look/feel to the image. Great work. |

Helen, you gave a nice transformation to the rope. The twirled center is tack sharp and gives a central point of interest. Black and white for the rope was a good choice. |

Beautiful transformation, Christine. The black background gives an elegant look to the image. Your treatment of Ned seems to create a glow which really makes the horse pop. I do agree with Steve that the black background should be cleaned up before printing. the least little flaw will show up in a print. I have found that enlarging the image on your monitor and viewing in a dark room will highlight the areas in the black that should be corrected. |

Good job removing the model from the original background and moving to the new background. I agree that the texture on the model's skin is a little overpowering. Perhaps reducing the opacity or using a layer mask to remove some of the texture from the skin would be an improvement. The overall effect is such an improvement to the original. The halo around the model gives quite a nice effect. |

Phil, I'm afraid that I agree with your wife. This image doesn't really do a lot for me. Scanners have such a narrow depth of field that the part of your face touching the glass is in focus and seems overly bright. The rest of your face appears just slightly soft and enough darker to give the image too much contrast between the lightness and darkness. Your editing does improve the image. |

Excellent work, Steve, love it. I agree that the tree bark texture was a good choice and works well. The composition is well thought out, and all of the elements are placed to create a stunning image. |

Great job. Rob. I love your foreground. It almost looks like a dinosaur head with the tail area created by the mountains in the back. Good capture considering you were dealing with almost full moon. Keep trying. This is challenging photography. |

Brenda, I find your edited version very lovely. You have brightened up your original and given more detail to the clouds as well as added some color. I might tone down the brightest area of the sky in the area of the sun. You could do it with a layer mask and just brig back a little of the original in the sun area-not at 100% just a little darker. I would probably crop out some of the foreground grass too. |

Beautiful capture, Donna. The feather detail is beautiful and their sharpness adds to the image. The orange eye is the focal point of the image and brings you right into the bird. Nicely blurred background. The beak being just slightly open adds to the image. |

Pierre, you captured this image at the perfect time. One second more and the doe might have stepped in front of the tree on the left. the back lighting in the ears is wonderful, and both deer are in the clearing. Your exposure captured an image with no bright highlights which was quite possible with the sunlight through the trees. |

Beautiful sky, Dean, and the perfect sky reflection is the icing on the cake. The branch on the left with the lacy tiny twigs and leaves finishes the composition. |

Beautiful image, Mervyn. The bird is tack sharp and the completely blurred background complements the bird by making it pop from the background. The diagonal branch creates a nice leading line to the bird/ |
