A good and hopeful message for all of us , Jan. we can only hope. Your image is lovely and well thought out. I do wish the first E were complete, but your self imposed rule doesn't permit that. the natural feel to the whole image is soothing. |

Lots of work with good results, Christine. I do feel as the others that the dress is too bright. everything else seems to work. |

Looks like you had lots of fun here, Georgianne. I do agree with the others that it is just too busy for my taste.Maybe desaturating some of the image and letting the center pink flower shine would remove some of the busy effect. |

Nice results, Phil. It shows what the addition of a simple texture can accomplish. The two primary colors give good color balance. You have nice sharpness in the flower petals that shows through the texture. |

Excellent results, Steve,
The sky texture was a good choice to remove the background. the detail on her face with the feathers and flowers is beautiful. I do think that the blue area/line around her lips on the right and the blue area right above that runs across below the blue flower on her lower cheek should be blended to make it less obvious. Also, I would remove the pierced hole on her ear that is without an earring. |

Pierre, what a cute little squirrel so cold in the snow. Everything appears sharp and the snow flakes all over the squirrel add to the drama. Its cute little pink nose and frosty lips with the eyes shining give this frozen creature a personality. The eye to eye angle is perfect. I would add a highlight to the eye as Mervyn suggested. |

Dean, you might try a crop from the top to remove most of the overexposed highlights and only leave a fringe on the right and left above the eyes. |

Good job, Brenda with your crop and using the textures to remove the bright areas and soften the pine needles in the background. The flip is a tremendous help to put the tree limb in a better place. You did a good job of ear repair. It looks natural. You might try lowering the opacity of the gold textures rather than removing them completely. Good job. |

Nice perspective on your sea lion, Rob-looking straight at the nose. I do agree that the crop is an improvement-too much distracting in the original. |

Excellent image, Donna. The dragonfly is beautiful with its multicolored body and tack sharp translucent wings. I do feel that toning down the bright parts of the background, especially on the top, would definitely improve your image. A crop down from the top would help to accomplish this. |

This is a unique image with the wonderful expression on the monkey's face. The eyes nose and mouth are perfect. I'm afraid that the highlights are completely blown out and cannot be recovered. The fur might benefit from a bit of sharpening or clarity. |

Beautiful capture, Mervyn. How fortunate that the Jackal was willing to stop and look straight at you.The image is sharp, in my opinion, and has nice detail in the fur. I agree with Brenda that a curves layer might bring in more contrast and allow the subject to stand out from the background better. |

That is how it photographed. It may be a reflection from the blue water, especially since there seem to be lighter areas on the same wing which are also probably reflections from the water. The bird was quite close to the surface of the water. I did not try to change the shadow/reflection color since it never works. |
