Excellent work, Jan. The concrete makes a perfect Milky Way. The roots wrapped around the rocks are wonderful. You have placed just the right number of stars without overdoing it. Everything works in this image. |

You have a wonderful backlit sunflower, Helen.I believe that I would have repaired the torn petal on the top left. In my opinion, the crop on the sunflower is too tight or the main square should be smaller. The colors are lovely and the dappled background adds to the image. Good work. |

You created a lovely image, Georgianne, with the painterly effect. I agree with Christine. The dog needs an anchor. He looked like he was floating. The increased saturation in the colors gives life to the image. |

Beautiful image, Phil, as always. The softness of the background and soft colors with detail in the flower make the image. The slight angle of the iris was a good choice, and you gave it a nice crop. Well done . |

Steve, you have made your cow much more interesting. The new sky is a big improvement and works well with your textures. The sepia toning also works well and improves the background. Your edits have improved your common cow to a more beautiful animal. Adding the texture always works for me. It gives the image its own character. My only suggestion would be to reduce the opacity of the textures a bit. They seem to be a little overpowering. I feel that the red is a little bright and maybe reducing the saturation would improve the image. |

Stilts as such cute birds, and you found an interesting pose for this little guy. There is a nice catch light in the eye and excellent sharpness. The image does seem to need more contrast-whiter whites and darker greys and black. Personally, I like a less centered image, but yours does work. The ripples in the water give a perfect horizon line. |

You found a nice mother and baby image, Brenda. I think the work to bring out the texture in the fur works well. Your crop in the front is a little tight for me. Usually more room is needed to give the animal space to move. |

The colors of the green heron are perfect. The diagonal branch anchors the image and provides interest. I do feel that the bird is not as sharp as it should be, and the image is a bit stagnant. Usually, there should be some kind of action such as looking down into the water for a fish or other meal. |

Beautiful capture, Dean, with detail throughout the image. The leading lines work well, and the rolling black hills add depth. |

Mervyn, you have captured the perfect moment with the bird's mouth open and chewing on its catch.the diagonal of the bird adds interest.the bird is well lit with the right amount of sharpness. |
