34 Jan 17 Comment I used PS crop and content aware fill. Crop fill doesn't always work the way I want it to. Jan 11th
34 Jan 17 Comment Excellent result. I especially like what you did with the eye.The plant texture added in the upper right hand corner really adds to the image. Jan 11th

Love the door and Raymond. Flipping the door was a good idea. I think I would have cropped Raymond right below his beard as Jan said. Maybe using a mask to let more of the dreads show would be helpful. Also the fence is very bright. Darkening the highlights might make Raymond to stand out better.

34 Jan 17 Comment I love the lighting that you have created especially on the hay and faces. but as the others have said, the color is off.I feel that Steve's is too green and Phil"s not quite right. I don't know if this is any better, but I gave it a try with hue/sat, ACR filter and curves. Jan 11th
34 Jan 17 Comment I agree that the image is top heavy. A crop of some of the top would definitely improve the overall image. Also as a bird photographer, myself, we are very picky about cutting of the feet. You have amputated two of his toes. It is better to crop above the legs or include the entire part of the legs. Also, the bird needs more room in front, it appears crowded-does not have room to move. I also feel that this is a perfect image to flip horizontally. That would bring the eye into more prominence. 34 Jan 17 Comment Beautiful image, Phil. I do agree with Georgianne the the background needs to be smoothed out/cleaned up.I like the one spot of pink, but think it might look better at the tip of the main bud as it was in your original. Also, maybe darkening the leaf behind the stem might give more definition to the bud and overall image. Jan 11th
34 Jan 17 Reply I worked from step to step. After each step it was easy to decide where to go next. The fuzziness/hairy look of the petals in black and white makes me think the image started with a fuzzy bug. Jan 11th
34 Jan 17 Comment Good job, Steve, of changing the background. The texture certainly helped to camouflage what was going on back behind your lady. You gave nice definition to the feathers and her hair. Her face is much pleasanter to look at with your edits. It has just the right amount of texture. Jan 11th

69 Jan 17 Reply This addition makes your image fabulous. Jan 22nd
69 Jan 17 Reply This, is a much better crop, in my opinion. The viewer is focused on the cute face. Jan 22nd
69 Jan 17 Comment This is a beautiful flower. It is so perfect that it looks unreal. The color is stunning. The way that the petals have opened around the center and hold the center up creates the focal point of the image. I feel that a vignette to darken the other flowers around the central flower would make the center flower pop and create a stronger image.Beautiful work. Jan 16th
69 Jan 17 Comment Nice capture. I also feel that the branch on the left should be removed. It is a beautiful bird and looks so small on that big tree.I feel that some cropping would be helpful, but not so much as to degrade the image. The image might be improved by a slight increase in the vibrancy on the bird. These little birds have such beautiful coloration. Jan 16th
69 Jan 17 Comment You found an image with nice layers in the canyon and hills. It would probably benefit from an increase in clarity and contrast and the dehaze feature in the ACR filter. It seems a bit flat. The people give a nice sense of perspective and the fence a nice leading line.the tree in the top right should probably be removed. Jan 16th
69 Jan 17 Comment Thanks for all of your comments.I love creating something artistic with my birds. Jan 16th
69 Jan 17 Comment You captured the cub looking you straight in the eye-something that is usually difficult. When you have an image with distracting clutter, you work with what you have. There is that strange white blob on the left side of the face that probably should be removed somehow. The image would in my opinion benefit from more contrast and clarity. The ACR filter will help you do this. Jan 16th

69 Jan 17 Comment Love the cute little feet and the angle of the wings. Personally, I feel that the bottom right corner clutter should go away-content aware fill or a heavy vignette. The bird is beautiful against the dark background, and I feel that the mess at the bottom right takes away from that. I also feel that the image would benefit from a horizontal flip. We all know that I stray far from the tight "nature" constraints and go for the beauty and artistic look. Jan 16th
