This is great as is - save you might crop a bit off left and right to put a bit more focus on the person and boat. Since it clearly is about the mood and feeling of the moment, the absence of blur for the person, boat and bird do not bother me. The viewer can tell that this is about atmosphere, not strict reality. As everyone else has noted, judging can be very arbitrary. If the comment feels right to you, use it to make changes. If the comment misses your point, ignore it. In this case, you made the right choices. |

I like your transformation - it is more about mood than subject. But it might benefit from more contrast to bring out the colors and to sharpen the tree line. |

Jan's changes address my concerns - make the ghost stronger and the sides less obvious. Jan's crop of left and right also help. |

Thanks for the suggestion to thin down the circle.
The idea came an early morning after the eclipse. I had hundreds of images and was wondering what to do with them! |

The only details I might change are the 4 inserts in each wall, left and right. They make my eye want to figure them out and pull me away from the boy and the man. Either vignette more the sides or crop some left and right. The blue does not concern me but you might see if converting it to reds would complement the browns of the wall. Overall, a fine merger of your originals. |

I can't add much. The skin, eyes and lips are nicely changed and I like her hair on the left. For her sake, keep the snakes abstract! |
