I too have a number of apps on my ipad and ipod. They are fun to play with but also really irritate me because it is so hard to keep track of what you have done unless you write down each step as you go. (This must be the OCD in me....) I like your result (orange and blue are complementary on the color wheel), but somehow the bright arc that remains on the right unbalances the image for me. A strong crop from both sides to a portrait aspect puts more focus on the lovely inner spiral and colors. This would look great printed on metal. |

Beautiful. A few years ago in this group someone made very nice use of the twirl transform. It was used twice, in opposite directions, and then they were combined. For your result, the only suggestion might be to crop some from the left and right to get a portrait orientation. I bet your result would would be awesome printed on metal! |

I must agree with Jan - the flower would benefit from the sharpness and shadow detail in your original. Steve's thought to darken the lower left is also good. |

I applaud your being able to combine well so many elements into the final result. But it does not (for me) look old. The people on the far left look pasted onto the scene, partly because the light on them comes from the upper right but for the rest of the scene, the light is from the upper left. |

(Sorry for not commenting sooner - April has been a bit cruel...) Yours is a fine example of making a lovely result from a bland beginning. This is especially true (for me) with flower portraits. |

(Sorry for not commenting sooner - April has been a bit cruel...) Your result is great save for the texture on the her left cheek. How do you keep up on all these new plugins? |
