This is great in general but I would eliminate the streaks of original 3 from her face and maybe hat and hair. |

I am probably too much into reality, but. I like the idea of merging your 2 photos, but the transparency of the wood door over the man's face doesn't work for me. It would be better (for me at least) just to have him peering out of the opening in the door so we would see just his right eye and bits of his beard, hair and hat. |

You did a fine job of eliminating background and foreground distractions. But the light doesn't feel quite like moonlight to me. When our eyes have adapted to dark and the moon is full, it's light (I think) seems more bluish to our eyes. Also, the strong vignette along the right edge hurts the impression of a moonlit scene. More contrast would help too. The attached works in these directions but is still not quite right. |

This reminds me of a patchwork quilt; every time I go into our local bank, they have a new display of quilts from local quilters. Well done. But the result does feel a bit top heavy; either crop down from the top or add some of the green/brown detail at the bottom to restore balance. |

I agree that the background needs to be cleaned up. I am inclined to keep just the one spot of red/rose color. |

Lovely result. Jan's B&W version is also great. Nothing to suggest but thanks for reminding us of the possibilities with a simply starting image. |

Great result Steve. As Jan and Georgianne say, separating an interesting subject from a busy background can be challenge. I would think in this case it helped that her hair was flying away everywhere and the use of a texture on the upper third made it easier. I sometimes find the Topaz Remask5 helpful for this task although some masking work afterwards is often still needed.
The lady's face does seem almost unreal relative to what is around it - like a poster (at an amusement park) of a wild scene with holes for people to poke their faces through from behind. |
