I've enjoyed looking at your sites. Your interests are intriguing and your photography is impressive. You seem to enjoy life and it would be good to meet, if we're ever allowed to get out!
I wonder if the Colour Chemistry student was our son - or his wife? It'd be good to fond out, if we get the chance to meet.
I worked for Shell as a marine engineer, subsequently for ICI at Boulby Potash mine (plus a couple of other companies) then eventually back to Shell in the North Sea. After VS I worked for Shell in Iran as Safety Coordinator (a damned conractor) on an offshore project until I'd finally had enough and retired properly.
Get in touch if you're planning a trip to Whitby. |

Thanks for looking in Stuart, and thanks for your kind remarks.
Maybe we'll see you in Whitby next year.
My stepson (who studied Colour Chemistry at Leeds) and family live in Alsager where we've been waiting to visit since February - hopefully we'll get down there next year, because my name isn't Cummings either!! |

You never fail to put a smile on my face! - and that takes some doing these days!
I like the little details in there - more bits to keep me looking. The items of clothing and the smoke from the exhaust make it that bit more ridiculous.
Thanks for another entertaining, expertly completed image.
And I'm still smiling!! |

An excellent job of blending. I like the lights in the windows (and their reflections). I like the autumn colour cast you've put on the lake - it fits well.
How about something not quite so crazy in the water - maybe just a large ripple, where the Loch Ness Monster surfaced? |

Welcome to the group Fran.
I really like this. The composition is spot. Everything works well with the emerging butterfly being the star of the show for me. You've done well constructing it. The smoke brush has added that bit of something to give that added bit of interest.
Your camera skills are good too - it's not always easy to catch insects ths sharp!
Well done. A well executed, fun image! |

An interesting transformation - but nowhere near making me think of becoming a vegetarian!
You've made her look very soft and appealing (not my experience with cows!)
I did a similar thing a while ago, using different Topaz effects - here's 'Brown Cow' using cracked paint: |

I think this is superb. The composition is just right and it leaves so many questions for the viewer.
My only (very slight) criticism is that the shadows should be more vertical, so that the light source is from the moon instead of to it's right.
Excellent! |

Excellent! The spheres are so much fun and you've worked this so well. The composition and work you've put into this have resulted in an excellent image. Well done
On some of mine I photographed the scene without the sphere and then again with it - that way it's easy to make the sphere float.
It's a good idea to paint out the unwanted reflections - I'll have to give that a try. Thanks for the tip. |
