Thanks Jan - I didn't notice the table going across her face. I should pay more attention! |

What a wonderful composition! I think maybe we should all stay at home much more if this is what can be achieved.
The treatment you've used works so well and the elements combine to make an image which keeps me looking at it and discovering more. Thanks again for putting a smile on my face!
Looking forward to next month's image! |

Haven't you had fun? Playing with what Photoshop has to offer and experimenting can be so satisfying and rewarding.
I'm afraid the blur gallery will always make things out of focus (maybe that's why it's called 'blur'), but if you use it on a new layer and experiment with the blending modes / opacity you may be able to find a happy medium.
Well done with the image - whether it's fish, boxing gloves or twins, it works! |

This is excellent. What creativity is all about! The composition and treatment are superb and what a lovely story for your granddaughter to share as she gets older - maybe her own kids will be enthralled with 'magic' books too!, not to mention the skills and talents of her granny!
I think maybe another flying beasty going in another direction would show better that they're coming out of the book (but that's probably me overdoing things again!)
It's good to see your work and to hear from you - specially knowing the extra work and pressures you've been going through - Keep Smiling!!! |

It looks as though you had a lot of fun experimenting - for me, that's what it's all about - just getting in there and playing.
Thanks for the instruction and information on how you did it. I can see me going back to play with some of my own images.
Well done.
The flowers are cornflowers by the way - We've got some cultivated ones in the garden, but don't be tempted in yours - they spread like weeds! |

I like this a lot! The colouring and the starkness really work. The lady in the window grabs the attention and the shadows seem to frame her. She seems to be 'locked in'.
The composition works well, with everything being just off centre.
I like the impossibility of the strong shadows working in opposing directions too.
Excellent. |

Excellent treatment! I like the way you've muted the colours. The image has a feeling of sadness and if you've invoked a feeling, then your image works!
Thanks for the explanation. It probably took quite a long time to complete it, specially with the treatment of the windows.
Well done. |
