I wanted the groynes to be seen in the sphere, so placing it on top of one of them wouldn't have given that image - I placed it on the top of one of them purely to make the masking easier.
My next thing to try is the triangular prism - typically it's used to create rainbow effects, but I'm sure I can use it to distort landscapes - watch this space. |

I like Topaz Remask 5 or Mask AI, which is very good for the intricate parts, like whisps of hair etc. |

This is so good! Thanks for reminding me about the flame filter - I'll have to go and play with it.
The pen tool can take some getting your head round, but it's a really powerful tool when it comes together (and I think it's got easier as the various updates have come through).
The original image is quite intriguing too. Did you take it on a black background, or was that created too?
Thanks again for the inspiration - you keep doing it!

Having lost some 25,000 images recently, I can see your point entirely - maybe you could find some of mine in there too.
I may have desaturated the cloud layer slightly, so that the 'lost' images show up a little more. I feel that the cloud dominates, so that it's the main point of focus, instead of the images that are lost in it.
A good idea that I can relate to. Well done. |

I love this. My favourite image of the month. It's an image that puts a smile on my face (and that takes some doing!)
The elements have been put together so well and the treatment is superb.
I'm not surprised you won awards with it. Well done. |

It looks as though you had fun compiling this image. You've worked it well.
I'm sorry, but to me the final image makes it look as though the various elements have been pasted on to the background. I would have preferred the engine to be still rooted to the ground, rather than foating above it. That is of course just my personal opinion. I can see your concept of cheering up the discarded engine, but I'm afraid it just doesn't work for me. Sorry. |

An excellent composition. You've worked each of the elements very well. Flipping the man horizontally is good (I personally like to see movement from left to right in an image). The sky really conveys a feeling of dread to the image.
My only little niggle is the direction of the man's shadow, which is in a different direction from that of the house.
A very good image. Well done. |

I think you've done a wonderful job with this. The combination of the images and the wholw treatment has produced an excellent final image.
The placing of the frog has been done so accurately and the brightening of the bird / blurring and darkening of the background has been done superbly. Well done. |
