Thanks Jan. Our small town has quite a lot going for it events wise. The annual week long Folk Festival runs every August (starts next week) after the regatta weekend (which looks like being a washout this weekend). Steam Punk weekend was a fortnight ago. There's a 60's music festival in September, then the main Goth weekends October / November and April. So for a small place there are lots of opportunities for portraits and things unusual. Add the coast and the moors to it and it's a photographer's dream. |

There's a plugin from Flaming Pear called 'Flood', which is really good for reflections - this is an example of where I've used it (along with some layer masking): |

You've given us another lesson in Photoshop. Thanks.
I love this image. There's so much to see and it's so well put together.
Using the ipad apps is something I should look into - just don't know where to find the time! You make them look superb.
I'm impressed by the way you've composed the whole image. The way you've led us into the distant dreaming is an art in itself.
Thanks again for my smile!! |

Well done Helen. You've created an image to make us smile! The composition is good and the way you've treated it is excellent.
I may have used another layer of the view past the door, then darkened it and used a gradient on the layer mask, so that the water in the foreground had good clarity, then faded out towards the background. You could also paint on the layer mask at low opacity, to bring the man and flamingo forward from the far background. Just little refinements. What you've done is excellent. Thanks for sharing it with us. |

Excellent! It's so well put together and such fun.
You've done well with altering the text and you imagination shows through. Getting your Grandson to pose shows that you've got a way of persuading people to play too. Getting all the images using the same backdrop was a good move. Obviously you're good at planning as well.
Well done and thanks for the entertainment! |

Looks like a fun day with fun people. Don't you just love it when people want to be photographed!
You've put a lot of work in here and produced an entertaining image with lots of detail to keep us interested. It's good that it's busy! Well done.
My only slight problem is the cutting off of the honey seller's right foot - I'd have been tempted to move something in front of him (maybe the flamingo), so that it wouldn't matter - just a personal thing!
Thanks for the tip about applying the adjustment layer to the single layer. |

Well done Candy. I like the crop and the treatment.
The robins are often really tame, so you can get by with relatively short lenses. This little fella kept me company while I was gardening - I used a 70 mm lens from about 3 ft. |

Thanks Angela - not as much work as it looks. It's all just playing really and that's what it's all about!
Thanks for visiting our group. |
