34 Mar 19 Comment Once again you've made 'Image of the month' in my book.
I like the composition, the difference in opacities, the extra lines. The heavy contrast really appeals and the harshness accentuates the 'daily grind' - the whole thing just works so well for me. Maybe not easy on the eye, but what an impact!
For me, if it makes an impression it works, whether its peaceful or shocking - and I love it!

34 Mar 19 Comment It looks like you've had some fun experimenting which I applaud.
Like Alan, I find it a bit busy so that there's no point of focus. Saying that, why not put some more elements into it - make it even busier but give it a point of focus (enter some Goth ladies parts) And have fun too!

34 Mar 19 Comment An interesting treatment of an intriguing original (well seen). You've worked it well and produced an excellent image.
As usual I've probably overworked it by giving it a head of sorts (one of my Goth's masks). I felt that it was crying out for some kind of face.
I still like what you've done.

34 Mar 19 Comment An interesting image giving lots to think about.
I'd have probably used Flaming Pear Flood to give more of a ripple effect in the boatman's reflection and maybe some motion blur on Christ (to show him either rising or falling). Maybe a texture to tie all the elements together. But these are obviously my own thoughts and it would possibly overwork and spoil your excellent image.
The straight line method can be used in many of the tools - when making selections using the polygonal selection tool (also works with Topaz Remask): the eraser tool, healing brushes, clone stamp etc.

34 Mar 19 Comment An excellent conversion from the original. I can only echo what Alan and Jan have said.
I may have increased the contrast slightly, but that would have detracted from the antique plate effect.
Well done.
