It's good to play! Even better to record what you're doing so you can reproduce it.
You've made an excellent abstract. I find it quite uplifting - thanks!! |

You've created a masterpiece here Christine.
It's got a really peaceful feeling to it - an excellent treatment to make a beautiful bloom into an even more beautiful image. Well done. |

A good composite with a lot of thought going into it.
My only problem with it is the lighting of the man, which is against the lighting from the tree. I assume that it's intended that the glow comes from the tree, so I feel that the highlight areas of the man should be darkened an his shadow should fall behind him (away from the tree).
You've put a lot of work into this and it almost works. I just feel that getting the light direction right is so important. |

A very good composition. The scanner is an excellent tool!
I found the outlines of the different images distracting, so I
darkened the blacks, using selective colour, to merge them as much as I could, without losing too much in the blooms. I also painted out some of the white dust marks (using the default black foreground colour). |

An interesting and clever treatment. The use of the twirl softens it into a pleasant image.
I feel that it needs something else to give a bit of focus, so I've added a low opacity, masked out Goth portrait.
It'd be good to post Christine's directions here - then we can easily refer back to them.
