There's a good feel about the image - as if you could just sit and watch it go by. Some blurring on the additions would help. I still think you've made an excellent job of it. The blur adds a dreamy quality to the image.
As Georgianne says - Don't worry about judges - they're completely unpredictable and will give an image first place one day, then deride it the next. We don't award points, but this is a contender for best image this month (by my reckoning anyway)! |

It's good to see alternative methods of capture and processing. I'm sure we'll be seeing much more of it with the new Lightroom app and with much more to come!
I agree with Georgianne about the image being a background - it seems to be lacking a point of focus - maybe Georgianne's ghost walking out of the multicoloured haze would do it!
Anyway - well thought out and well captured. Thanks for thinking out of the box and making me do too! |

Well though out and well executed. I like Jan's version too, but I feel the optimum would be somewhere between the two.
If I'd done it I'd have probably used a goth to welcome her into the crypt! |

Well done Phil. The capture of the images is amazing - the use of the colanders alone is well thought out. Did you have a plan for the images before you started, or did the clock idea come afterwards? Most people would have been happy with just the image of the total eclipse, but you've taken it many steps further!
I agree with Jan that the outer circle is a bit strong, but other than that, it's superb!! |

An excellent composition - well seen and well executed.
Your positioning of the man is just right - he seems to be looking at the boy - and the low lighting behind the bars is just what you'd expect in a blacksmith's workshop.
I like the blue shirt - it gives an initial focus for the image before the eye wanders into what he's looking at.
Well done. |
