That was my opinion too. I already have Denoise. |

I just use flood. I tried a couple of their others, but I don't think they're not in the same league. |

Yet again, you've produced the image of the month (for me anyway).
The use of the concrete for the sky is inspired and I like the use of the iPad too. The addition of the bird really makes it for me.
The whole image works well and an excellent title.
Another masterpiece! |

Different to see the back of the flower. Usually it's the front that's portrayed.
A quick and effective treatment, but often they're the most effective.
Well done |

An interesting image and interesting treatment.
I agree with Georgianne's comment about his bright chest, but rather than burn it I've used the original image with an inverted layer mask and a low opacity brush with white foreground, to bring back some of the old man's detail (wish I could use it on myself!)
What's Topaz Studio like? I didn't get it because I wasn't very impressed with the preview, but if it's good I may have to reconsider! |

I agree with Christine's comments. Obviously it would work better if her changes had been added before applying the Van Gogh effect was used.
I'd have been tempted to place the dog at the man's feet where it wouldn't have looked so aggressive. |

Nice image. Well worked.
My personal preference would be to give it a bit more contrast, but I appreciate that you've got softness you were after.
It seems that Google are not going to update Nik software from hereon. I've saved a download file for future reference, but we may have to look elsewhere for similar programmes (maybe Alien Skin or On1)
How easy is Helicon Focus to use and what can it do? - it looks a bit expensive for a try out! |

I really like what you've done here. I like the texture, the sky and the reflection. A good crop and excellent instruction. Thanks.
The only thing I'd shortcut on is the reflection - have you tried Flaming Pear 'flood' It's quite cheap and has lots of adjustment for 'wave' effects, horizon etc.

Hi Georgianne
The overlay was worn brick with a texture of cracked paint, so the dark part is brick. I left it in because I liked the line of cracked paint which ran from it.
On1 is a fun programme - why not give it a try. It'll become more useful when Nik becomes defunct (Google aren't going to update it!) |
