3 Oct 23 Comment Late again. you have found another architect who loves to be photographed. And you ha be done a great job, Have you tried taking this as a really symmetrical image? I think that would also work,The only other suggestion would be to crop out the white bottom which catches my eye because it is the only really bright object in the frame. Great seeing. Oct 25th
3 Oct 23 Comment Ruth,This is Avery strongimage, especially in B and W Your careful achievement of no overlap of any of the tree branches is patrclarly well done. Nice reflections, altogether a very lovely compositionk Oct 25th
3 Oct 23 Reply Late again. Sorryuabout that,My husband is in a reha b center and we are spending a lot oftimewith him. Your flower is interesting because I had also nor seen one before a nd I often use Cora when I make gumbo.)I think you did a good job capturing it,. I agree with the other comments, although I an not one to fuss about the left to right orientation, A thin white line around the whole picture and the overexposure on the two petal would do it for me. 3 Oct 23 Reply I had quite a few shots of that scene, some were wider. I just liked the composition, I suppose. It's interesting that the ice plants we see all over the CA coast are actually brought in from other places and are invaders. The real ice plant, I have seen once or twice. It is very unusual with sparkly flowers and leaves. By real,, I mean native to Ca. Oct 24th
3 Oct 23 Comment Your final image is incredibly well-done. I see others had suggested that using HDR could have made your life easier. . You managed to reduce the low ut pumpkin on the outside so they looked natural, white pumpkins, I guess. Tcropping the your masking worked so we'll for you I love the final image just as it is. It must have taken you a long tie to achieve tht. Excellent work and a great way to learn how to use masks in Photoshop.
Sorry I'm so late with my comment, but my husband has been in the hospital off and on all month, plus now he's in a rehab place, which seems to be helping him gain strength.

18 Oct 23 Comment This is one ti me the original wold be very helpful. Tge final product is intriguing and well done As I looked at this, I was thinking that the left side flower by itself would make a very interesting Creative composition.. I would make an oval selection of just that flower and show us that. the flowers are s spidery and pretty.
We are running a three day weekend photo program in which one of our workshops will have someone showing how to achieve artistic effects on the light box with the help of Photoshop.
I think your final outcome works very well, good job!

18 Oct 23 Comment Andrew,
I first thought it was an abstract image of some kind until I l. looked at your originals. I have to agree that the extra work you did in Painter did not help, although in creative, Abstract is certainly good. I really liked the colors in original 2. I will say that your original photo is quite appealing. I really like that one. I think it is partly because you can tell what it is, because the composition is excellent, and the lines of the car are intact.

18 Oct 23 Comment Back to the old argument about the use of someone else's artwork. Ian, to me, this is not very creative. Maybe if you had totally changed the colors or picked an unusual viewpoint. You could hav eaddd a real person or squished or squeezed it, or twisted it. Theres spas many possibilities. Your other recent submissions have been much more creative. We are not trying to attack you, just trying to get the concept of creative across. My image this tie is also mot very creative in my own opinion. Oct 24th
18 Oct 23 Reply Sorry about that. Perhaps I should not be participating at all at the moment since my husband is very ill and we are spending the days either in the hospital or right now., in a rehab facility. It sometimes takes longer to find the original that to produce the image, at least in my poor filing system. Oct 24th
