I love your Butterly just as is. The only thing I would change if you start in pictorial would be the upper leaf, which has its own problems. I think LuAnn darkened it so it would not stand out.
Congratulations o achieving a position in the Member's Showcase. You deserve it. The cropping on your original image was needed and perfect.

3 Apr 23 Comment Michael,
I like your original crop of the site. The path leads us into the image in a perfect position and the colors, although limited, are realistic and give us quite a range of golden hues which are very pleasing. I wold love to compare what they did in the movie but don't want to go through the whole series to find it. It does have a realistic look which is what you want in a landscape photo. I would not increase the saturation of this. It's good like it is
What I wanted say initially was "Wow!" I envy you being able to take that 8 hour walk through those beautiful mountains..

3 Apr 23 Comment I think you did a great job with what looks like a hydrangea to me They tend to have a blue cast depending on the city of the soil. Your photograph is very sharp and we can really enjoy the small petals that make up the whole flower. I would suggest removing the background flower on the left side, . The upper out of focus flower is OK IMHO..
I'm glad you were able to get in there and take your spring flower amid the crowd.
In California, spring comes earl and you can get wonderful flowers outside a early as late February and March. The trees start blooming really early in particular. Every year it seems a bit earlier because of climate change.
Keep finding those beautiful flower shots to show us. It makes us happy.

3 Apr 23 Reply I worked on this and removed the dark line. I also converted it to black and white. Nott so sure I like the monochrome as much as the softer sepia colors of the original. Apr 10th
3 Apr 23 Reply Ruth,
I never noticed that line until you pointed it out. I could probably easily remove it using h content t aware brush in Photoshop. I never use Lightroom as I am one of the veery elder members who ws born and raised in Photoshop.

3 Apr 23 Comment Ruth,,
The conversion to B & W was perfect to really give the feeling of a cold, cold winter shot. The tire swing gives us a good idea of how big that tree actually is. The branch at fist glance looks too puny to hold the swing, but when you see how big the tree really is compared tot he tire, you get a much better idea of its size and importance in the landscape. It is clearly waiting for spring. The only suggestion I have would be to darken the sky. a bit to make it look even more uninviting. Your composition is good with the tree in the third position. Good idea. Brrrr, Colorado.

18 Apr 23 Comment Gunther,
Welcome to our group! I am interested in why you brought these two images together. I can imagine trolling in between the trees w with you car, but not having trees growing out of the car If you had a bit more of the care so it looked whole, I would wind my car in-between those trees , which would be a fun thing.
I don't mea to be negative, but just a bit more realistic. Did you have a photo of the whole car?

18 Apr 23 Comment The remake of the original multiple image in camera has a smoothness that leads us away from the potter. The original has much more of a look of someone's hands working in the clay. I feel like he's grabbing at the clay. When you went to the simpler image, I think you lost the feeling of working with the clay, so I would suggest entering the original as your creative entry. It is creative in its camera motion. In the original the right arm is ob virus while in the remake it has sort of disappeared into the smoothness of the image. At the moment, in-camera motion has come back into favor and is being seen more and more. I love your original. Apr 21st
18 Apr 23 Comment We just had a judge who hated bright color. I already commented here, but just wanted to emphasize that I love what you did with he colors. Otherwise the image would be very insipid. Apr 21st
18 Apr 23 Comment Ian,
I love those old theaters. We have quite a few locally in the US and probably throughout the country. Adding the colors using PS works really well. I assume you had to make sure the mode was RGB. The strong primary colors really go with this Image.. Is the theatre still showing movie? I didn't see anything on the marquee.
Nice job.

18 Apr 23 Comment Hai, Jim,
Your have made a boring wall into a speedway. I have bad eyes with macular degeneration, but to me it looks like the wall was paned with different colors. This makes the very steadfast newspaper dispensers all the more stodgy.x I would really ike to know how you created the new wall. Your title id perfect. This is a wonderfully creative I like the way tee colors change and meld into each other.
