I have used Helicn Focus, Photoshop, and yet another one. I compared them and I think Helicon was the best.

You did a great job in rescuing the Anna's hummer from its original background. She or he is nice and sharp, good catchlight in the eye. The wing angle is interesting. I suggest that you also remove all of thee other distractions in the image, - the black line behind the humor, the berries and the line going up to the right and justly us enjoy the bird on its own. So hard to get a good photo of one of these. |

The sunlight streaming into the church is so delightful. It makes you feel like going there to sit in it and contemplate your religion. It's great that you find your iPhone camera so useful. It doesn't seem to me that the sunlight is overexposed and I like the patches of light where one can walk down the aisle. It is also great that you were able to preserve the stained glass colors at the end of the church. |

Ruth,
First of all I admire your hiking capabilities. That looks like a dangerous walk Your composition works for me and I am glad you were able to get rid of the uninspiring lighting of the original. The one building, which is the power station I assume, is totally fascinating. They must have had some time building it. It really makes the picture. You might try the Dehaze filter in Adobe Camera Raw to make it even less faded by the time of day., I definitely would keep the house as bright as possible. Nice work. |

The jumping kangaroo is something rare in these parts, so I assume a great trip helped find him. I tend to agree that leaving more space on the left for him to move into and somehow making the female and joeyy more obvious might help. But all in all, it is a wonderful capture, perfect of the kangaroo jumping. Wish I could have been there also. |

Wow! Still in business. Amazing!. I thought it had closed up some time ago looking at the condition of the window and door.I admire your effort too get those wonderful primary colors together, the red, yellow and blue sky. The "Y" patch on the window looks like a repeat of the the"y" in jerky, so that's interesting. Where is this place in CA?I I live there, so might go looking for it. Great find. The collages of the whatever those are on both the bench and the box near the door are priceless. Once again, , I never would have guessed that this was an operating store.. How was the jerky |

LuAnn,
Very pretty milkweed pod. Your final is quite a bit brighter than the original and that works well for me. The brightness os the seeds with their spray of white is perfect now. Makes you think of al those monarch butterflies who love the milkweed. I wonder if that is earlier before the seedpods form. Compositionally, the diagonal is excellent as is the black background. Really makes it stand out. No suggestions for improvements.I had forgotten that you used focus stacking
That helped a great deal with the overall sharpness I have used it from time to time, but my camera doesn't do it, just a tripod and had movement of the lens DOF. If changes the aspect as you change the DOF so helicon or other combination apps are absolutely needed.

Because they are dogs and not people, they are surfing under much less stressing conditions. This is no Marericks. The dogs have all they cn do to stay on the boards, so the waves are fairly gentle. These dogs, I have discovered, compete for many years as I have seen the same dogs n other photos of other competitions. I cn understand that it is not easy to teach a dog new tricks.. These little guys had great forbearance which was fostered by their owners who always took them out and sent them off. on their boards.. I loved seeing them. It was a real treat. |

Great job! Like looking through a glass that has been distorted. I'm not sure what all you did the the final outcome is really lovely and perfect. The colors are fantastic. and the placement of the dancer is exactly where she should be. . I assume that this is not your grandmother? This technique could be used frequently for other images and would enhance in every case. |

I think Van Gogh would have approved. The color change to blue makes it more believable. The use of the Van Gogh filter in the manner you chose, gave the train a feeling of motion; the use of the blue palette makes it look more wintry. The blue colors add to d t the cold feeling. Your crop is excellent. Your final color choices, predominantly blouse and yellows are opposite each other on the oiler wheel, thus work great together. The two men in the locomotive are well balanced. Altogether an interesting rendition of the original photo. |

Jim,
I really like your sleeping composite. Despite the floor, he seems to fit into the background very well. I was a little confused as to whether this was originally a statue or actually a man sleeping at the museum. He certainly seems realistic. I'm glad he's got a coat on or he wold be freeing. We can pretend he's sleeping in the sunlight to help keep him cozy. You title is a little misleading to me because, one can understand that he really prefers the outdoors to his office, there is something of a disconnect for me. In any case, you did a great job putting him into the new environment and it works quite well. |

Mike,
One again you have a wonderful creation to show us. The concept of the bowling ball being used to go through a basketball hoop is really quite funny. I wonder why Steph Curry would have done with that? The only thing I noticed as I initially gazed at your photo was that the holes on the bowling ball kind of looked like eyes and the whole ball had a ghostlike atmosphere to it. Also it could be an alien. You could probably get around that by moving the holes on the ball.
But I love the combined image. |

Very creative idea. Based on, I presume, as American as apple pie, but. you needed cherry pie for the red or it wouldn't work. Also cherry pie may be one of those like. blueberry pie that uses a lattice to cover it in the first place, so that makes it all the more like a pie that we would love to eat and admire. Good creative thinking.
PS. I
m glad you didn't try to get 50 starts on it!
