Mary Ann,
You have taken a throw-away image and changed it into a lovely landscape The sunset can be seen well. You chose to keep it so that the yellow turned into blue in the sky.I'd be interested to know what the white area is in the center right of the lakes. It could be ice or a sky reflection, but the sky had no clouds, so I am curious. The mountains in the background ha e become purple, purple mountains majesty comes to mind. Your composition is fine.. My natural tendency would be to crop a little off the sky, but then you would lose the blue which is integral to the color change in the sky, as welll as matching the blue of the lakes. Great recovery of an originally poor image. Thank you Lightroom ad Photoshop for existing. |

You cropped the image perfectly, just enough every side. The original had ta few bottom petals cut off, so it was an excellent idea. Chaging to B & W is also fine for this particular dahlia since its colors of faint purple were a little less than those of a highly colored one such as the yellow ones near this in the original. Everything is extremely sharp. I wonder if it we're possible to get more definition out of the center using various masks or other methods in photoshop I think you did a great job with it. |

Ruth,, you have produced a lovely image and I, fro one, am glad you increased the saturation. For one thing, since no-one of us but you were there, there is no way to know how bright those trees really are, so I say go for it.
I agree it was a necessary step to remove the white water on the lower right, so much better. Ad I too love the mountain, snow-clad in the background. J
Just for fun you might try cropping to to eliminate the mountain and sky to get an even more pictorial image. Oh, to be in Colorado in the fall! |

Well, I hope his watch was waterproof. I think it's a grand photo of someone very happy. I would also be nice to have this as a series with him rummaging down in the mud trying to locate his watch. The photo is quite sharp and I like the yellow behind him. I'm not sure it actually was toned down or maybe the photos were mixed up. my only suggestion to to crop a little off the left side to take him more out of the middle of the frame. Nice capture. |

This is clearly an image by a maker who knows what he is doing when handling the night sky and the Milky Way. Your treatment of light painting on the truck is perfect and the alignment of the MW is compositionally perfect. Great job!
I tried to get a wide angle lens for night photography, but have never used it., sadly. The last time our club went up to the bristlecone pines at night, I had to be almost carried up because of my age. And carried down, as well. So thee days are over.
Congratulations on a wonderful image. |

I have the feeling of someone looking in, the dark shadow of a head,d, to this beautiful abstract of colors and glass. It certainly looks like an abstract to me and the shadow seems to give it more depth. A person admiring it. I didn't
t notice if you said what the original image or images were. The final is extremely agreeable to me and I don't see anything I'd change. |

This may not cover the entire area. My submission was cropped inn my camera, not after the fact, most likely. I am showing an untouched photo o from more of a distance at Zabriskie Point. I t may not include what I sent as my entry. |

Mike, You're the this Mike in the group. Maybe we should call ourselves the Mike group, I don't mind. Your butterfly shows you usual creative abilities which I do admire. The use of some colorful stained glass for the wings is a perfect idea. My only suggestions that because the parts of the real butterfly are soft and realistic, you might consider making the fringe on the outside o the wings in colors that match the stained glass. Not sure if that would help. Or maybe you could do away with the fringe and put in a hard object triangles along he sides of the wings that match the stained glass. However, thank you for showing us some really creative thinking. Good job! |

You did a great job cleaning it up. I had heard about anther Lincoln statue, but I think it was also in Washington. Your background work makes the statue really stand out and gives the feeling that it is radiating from itself. The base looks like it's floating in space. Over all, Lincoln now gets the kind of respect h deserves. PS I'm glad you straightened ou the base. |

Your combination is quite attention-getting. In a sense it is creative in that putting the together helps give it a different message. iIt definitely is someone else's artwork, however.. But a good idea to amuse us. |

I love your shot of the ape, but I age with Ian that it is not particularly creative, but rather, an interesting straight shot. I prefer the the hand in the hair as it make it seem as though the ape is having a tough day. |

I feel like I'm losing at a waterfall through additional water because of the bubbles. The bubbles may be a translucent version of the cobblestones in the sky.Removing the cobblestones from the sky was totally necessary. It makes this image so much more interesting. I think its look is distinctive and quite creative. I might have tried to reduce the strength of the cobblestones on the building, as well, but even as it, it's a charming way to take a photo of a church. |

A lot more dynamic that the original. My bad eyesight can see only one black line, which would be removed, I agree. How about removing the bolts, as well and just leaving the number 9 . It's amazing to me that two of you both took that picture. We have a trolly museum near us in California, but I failed to take any number shots when we were there. |
