Mary Ann,
I admire that you are trying something new. There are a number of photographers who highlight in-camera motion, including Richard Martin of Canada. I You caught the rotation very well and although we don't know wha the original object is, it is still intriguing. I would also like to see the original before the motion, just for fun. The color is quite neutral; I wonder how it would like with more color. It's nice that a bit of color showed up in the center., t swash of red.
Keep trying new things. Good job! |

Ruth, I think you did a great job with correcting the poor lighting situation. To me, your grandson looks naturally photographed. He's a handsome boy. I can understand the fooling around as our son at age 5 was terrible - going close to the edge of cliffs, making faces and hand signals. . Just part of the age. The only suggestion I would make is to darken the BG even more, but you have already done a wonderful job on recovery from difficultt lighting. |

Christine,
Good for you for getting early to capture a wonderful photo in Milan. Loved the history lesson, as well. f Everything has the feeling of an old city with a single exception, the sign on the left side. I would suggest darkening it or cropping it out. Cropping might be too drastic because it would reduce the length of the canal too much. If you look att the first photo in monochrome from Michael, the sign doesn't stand out as much, which is why I suggest gardening it and you could also reduce the saturation of the sign.
I think it is a lovely shot which makes me want to be there.

Michael,
I love your tryptic and prefer it to single flower photos. The bending of the two outside images toward the center was well done and the final colors complement each other on the color wheel. Blues and yellows. I like the way there is an impression of a glow on the clematis from the lighting of the fine hairs.
It was really interesting to get the medicinal values of these plants. The dandelion is also very medicinal before it turns to seeds. https://www.healthline.com/nutrition/dandelion-benefits
We'll done and print it. Suggest you keep the printed flowers about the same size as they actually are. |

I did not see the water droplet until I read everyone's comments.
I also print some my images, partly for camera club competition and sometimes for the county fair or a local hanging of our club (not literally) at libraries or galleries in the area. If one is lucky, you might even sell a print or two. |

Lu Anne,
I am new to the group. and have no image in this month.
I love your sunflower. Your use of sepia or beige for the overall monochrome effect works well. There's a unification using the single color which makes the original almost jarring.. You have taken an excellent shot of the sunflower, nice that you have one next to your house. You did indeed choose great lighting and spent the tine to use a tripod. The bracts now become part of the the flower. Everything is tack sharp and the curing at the end of the bracts makes the composition much more interesting. Lovely job. |

Thank you for letting me join your group. My group, formerly 15, has bene disbanded because the participation was terrible and a couple of members have just resigned.
Your Brooklynn Bridge shot is terrific, everything is in the right place, - the two people walking across, the showing of the buildings through the stonework, the symmetry which is appropriate for bridges. The Brooklyn Bridge is probably the most iconic of all of the NYC bridges, and one of my favorite as a former New Yorker. Your sky is also perfect, so you did a great job with your phone camera. The key stoning actually works better than if the bridge had somehow been straightened. I gives it more excitement. |
