Jeri,
I made the decision to change the spelling of muscles to mussels, the sea creature sort of like clams, but usually black. You have presented us with a total abstract, as I could not detect anything that actually looks like mussel shells. The colors are exciting I would be tempted to cut a little ooff the left side to reduce the size of the upper left object. But not too much as the blue reflections from the one below are captivating and you do not want to get rid of much of them. |

Billy,
Exceedingly well-placed including the boat and the sun. I would not be able o tell that it was the Nile, of course, but this is in pictorial, not travel. The tree fills up the negative space of the sky and we see just what you wan us to see. |

Kristi,
the mask could have been used as part of her work to avoid the clay dust or something. It didn't occur to me that is was connected with covid. Great shot is monochrome and I like the lifting of her hands to indicate that it is finishes. Voila. The lighting is wonderful and she fills the frame perfectly. Nice work. |

Rick,
Great lighting of this object. It fills the frame perfectly and wonderful day to take the photo. The sky is lovely. It does remind me of the St. Louis arch, but I think it is quite a bit smaller in real life. Good seeing on your part and another plus for the iPhone. |

I just looked at your method of making a real-appearing sphere. There must have been 100 different actions, which is why I would like to find an application that does it for me. Thanks anyway. Even if I tried to put this into a Action item, it would be too difficult I do hope you go enough feedback from the few people in our group who seem to be participating. Hazel and Steve have yet to add her comments. I will get after them.. |

Hazel,
The concept of the leaves circling on a relevant background, colorize, is a good one. I'm not sure how I like the duplication to fill the spaces because it seems a bit like a bad clone job. I would never have thought of it, but Brian's rendition with the radial blur filter is quite an improvement. I would keep working on this idea and see what else you could come up with. Colors are great. |

P.S. I just noticed that the light on the sphere and the shadow on the butterfly do not match. You should check that out. |

Mike,
You are lucky we have Brian as one of our commentators. He is wonderful. As you cold have seen with his comments this time.. We try hard not to make members feel bad, but we do have many members in this and other groups who add only a minima critiques. They know what a real critiques is. I think it's a case of laziness pr there're in a hurry. I hope we can satisfy you. I am also a judge or was, for my area and have done many critiques. My eyes have gotten bad, so it is harder for me. I can still see the image up tight. |

Mike, I am not too concerned about your Butterly or moth ID. However, by turning it blue you have made it into a morph butterfly which has such outstanding color and is unique among butterflies is that aspect.
I really appreciate, like Brian, that you did a pre-svisualization of your concept. To me, that is much more creative than using a couple of filters to turn it into an abstract image.
As fr the alignment of the moth , the flower ad the ball, I prefer yours to Brian's because I fell like the flower leads me in to the moth. This is definitely a maker preference, in any case.
Your vignette actually appeal to me as it brings the ee in to the action item.
I do agree that the border could be a different color, which would not be so harsh a contrast.
My main suggestion is that the flower be a bit lighter and more colorful. The sphering capabilities of Photoshop have gotten paltry over the years. I am still trying to find a really good spherizing application that will take the material within the circle of the sphere and make it look distorted as one would expect. |

There is great creativity between the winter scene and the spring tulips. The use of the icicles hanging down off the top certainly adds to the concept. I wonder if it is at all possible tomato it look like the tulips are also suffering from the color. Not sure how, but maybe by adding some ice to the tulip field, maybe in between the tulips. You did a great job in combining the tree and the tulips. The rtree definitely looks like it belongs in the tulip field. Without the icicle, there is no indiction of ice on the tree, just a winter deciduous tree with no leaves. Think about how you might make it look more wintery. But very creative and well-done composite. |

Brian,
I saw why Mike thought of boats. The triangular objects remind me of sails on a sailboat, the lines, rigging to the mast, and the horizontally placed triangles of the flags that flutter from a boat with either aa semi fore address or something like that. I like the abstract view of the broken up locomotive. Maybe using the steam whistles or a part of the locomotive wheel would have tied it more into a train and less into a boat. It is an interesting observation by Mike and I tend to agree with him. The overall effect is very pleasing, and this technique you have been using is working well. There is a nice flow throughout the entire compositie. |
