I like the footprints from the glowing sneakers going across. The concept is a good one, but I would hope that we could see a little more of the person making the shoe marks. It has become a little too abstract for me. My eyes are not very good, I can see the legs to a certain extent of the runner as he moves along the bridge. I guess where the footsteps stop, it would be better to have more of a form showing than I can perceive. But your idea is an excellent one.
Happy Christmas and a very healthy and glorious New Year, Kristi~ |

Jeri,
This is a wonderful eye-catching photo. The colors are marvelous and do mirror your title. There is a slight fall-off of sharpness at the top, but that does not bother me at all. It's like taking a photo of an animal, the most important parts are sharp. I think this would make a great note card. Good work! |

Perfect tiger lily, well- placed in the frame. Glad you were able to get something in this month. My only suggestion would be to blur the background a bit more. You might have to go into Photoshop or similar programs to do that. The lily itself is really beautiful, sharp throughout and catches the eye. Much better than a real tiger. |

Billy, This is an excellent Journalism image except for the changes. you made which aren't legal for competition. As a pictorial, it has a lot of dynamism You have a strong diagonal with the cacher, bagger and referee at third.Although removing the third base runner and umpire behind the catcher makes sense pictorially, it does distract from the whole story. Since this is pictorial and not a Journalism shot, I can go with that. You caught the ball so well, good photography. |

Thank you for the nice comments I really love that mountain. One time we were there in the evening with beautiful color in the clouds which were lenticular. I almost cried when I found out I had the camera set to ISO 3500 from when we had b been taking photos of our grandkids indoors. |

This is one case where I would have loved to have seen the original. I'm not sure what you pulled down. The concept of revealing a colorful image underneath works well. I do feel that the fold is a bit sharp, especially when compared to other parts of the flower. I also believe that the lower part of the flower is so much out of focus, you might just crop it out and see what you get. |

I read the comments first. In fact, it almost looks like an enraged turkey saying don't you dare kill me. I was wondering what the flakes were when I first looked at them, as my eyes are not very good. It's kink of a puzzler whether the three heads make sense at all. Medusa, are you there?
I agree that the third head should also have been grotesqued, if there is such a word. The concept is not one I would like to think of for Christmas , but since it was submitted for November, we can forgive you. |

It's hard to believe that the three originals ended up as the final product, but somehow you managed it. It ends up looking like an autumn composite with leaves and the dead trunk of a tree. I really like the fungus and leaves that give us the most feel for nature. I might be tempted to crop off part of the top of the image as both the colors and the layout look less like "Nature" to me. I think it's great that you attempted to combine three so different pieces of photographs to make your composite. |

I'm trying unsuccessfully to remember whose artwork this reminds me of. I think you have done a stellar job of combining the various rather boring images into something that assumes a whole new artistic endeavor. I particularly like the first panel with the three elements, nice juxtaposition. Altogether, so much more commanding than the originals, I agree that the diagonal line going through not only brings it together but gives it more dynamism. |
