Kristi,
Oh, good. My version has disappeared and I need to reload it somehow. New operating system. Glad it worked so well. |

Kristi,
The look you have achieved by working with the new program is wonderful. It really looks like a moon at night with a thin cover of clouds. I am not familiar with this program, but it seems to work well and you seem pleased with it. The lines from the original wooden background are in a situation where you might consider removing them, but at the same time, they make the image different. Excellent job! |

Good idea to show us a macro approach to lettuce. Probably a lot better the photograph than eat! Your composition is good, but I do have to agree about the highlights. Sometimes a polarizer works well for this. If not, the Highlight tool in ACR or LR. There is one very bright leaf in the upper middle, which could be improved by darkening. This is a nice creative effort to look at something a bit differently. |

I can't believe I did it again, removed your image Stuart. I don't have your email address, sorry , so won't be able to get the image back. Although it makes sense to crop the sky, it also is the whole point of the image, so I would leave it. The only other suggestion I have is the darken the golden ground area a bit as it doesn't look at all realistic to me. The image as a whole is very beautiful, great colors and you were so lucky to find it. Your new iPhone is working so well for you, Rick.
I'm glad you gave only a small emphasis to the land and chose the wonderful sky as your real subject. |

Billy,
I do like your attempt to capture the early morning fog. I think it works pretty well. Your eye goes to the white painted timbers of the boat house and then you can see the repeat in the house roof. If there were any way to get it even foggier looking, I would try. I think there's something in Color Efex Pro that will create fog, but I don't know if you can direct it to certain areas.
Krist's ideas are excellent and I hope she will replace her image that I accidentally knocked out.
I compliment you for getting up so early to take the shot.

Oops, sorry Kristi. I accidentally removed your image and don't know how to get it back. Maybe you could reenter it. I'll send you an email.

A very patriotic doggy. And so cute! I think the cropping works both ways. As our members pointed out a try to remove the bright BG on the left by cropping in there had the other problem of looking like the image was too crowded. Why not just darken the are to the left of the dog using the black brush at a lower intensity. |

Thanks you for your comments. This was a really catch image out the window of the car. I guess we had stopped for a light. |

Larry,.
I appreciate your comments. However, even though we don't have threes, I personally prefer the fourth windmill on the hill further away. I feel it needs the depth and added hill. |

Charles,
I didn't have room for all of the originals. We can only put in a total of four images. I hope this is the correct final. If not, let me know right away. I do like the lake with the orange reflections of the reeds, which is called Original 3. Maybe because it is more recognizable. The latter is not a requirement for creative at all. Your abstract is exactly that. Quite lovely. There is a dark area on lower left that might be replaced by something a little lighter. |
