Actually, I prefer your original. I don't think it's too busy. What happens with the remake is that a lot of the subject becomes muddy, especially the trees, and the differentiation of the tracks ending into the forest becomes less clear. The three bright areas between the ties in the upper left lose the concept somehow of the rr line gong into the forest and district my eye. I find the fuzzy areas in the front and middle of the tracks also distracting, I'm sorry to say. This photo, IMHO, is not a candidate for the type of procedures you used. Maybe just changing the original to monochrome would be enough. Forgive me for being so blunt, but that is how it struck me. |

Sharp. Really beautiful colors close to each other on the color wheel. I think I agree with Bob about he title . It could be Pollen Producer, as Bob suggests. This is a really typical sample of what works well placed symmetrically in the frame. Beautiful exposure.

Good examples of the new lenses on your iPhone. The close-up looks quite sharp to me and it is interesting that it was from a telescopic length held so close. That certainly gives a wide range of possibilities for the new lenses.
I like the golden color of the grasshopper, almost glowing. My eyes are not great but I can see that it is very detailed and looks sharp to me. Yes, how much easier it must be to carry an iPhone rather than my heavy D750 plus a macro lens plus a general zoom lens. |

Bob,
Your work on this really brings out the image. No need to have it look realistic on such a dull day, as you show in your original picture. It's fun to look at it and admire the wonderful red texture you've created and the lobster pot boys on the side of the building. I would be a little careful of the slant of the images as it looks like it's tipping toward the right. Your treatment makes the reflection a thing of beauty, as well. |

One of the best things you did to enhance it, was increase the yellows in the image. Very important here. |

David,
This is a well-composed evening photo that really shows the car light streaks very well. The time of day was perfect and you have achieved a blending of the three primary colors, red, yellow and blue that is very pleasing. Frankly, I like it the way you have presented it, with all the colors showing and that composition. It is sharp front to back and the sky color is dramatic as it fades from yellow to blue. Your work in Luninar helped put punch into the final product. Nicely done for your first long shutter speed image. |

The colors here are fabulous! The composition and placement of the flower is well-done. The only thing I would do to make it even better is to crop. out the right hand light area. The image reminds me of an oiriental screen or part of an oriental fabric. A beautiful creative effort. |

Peter,
I'm sorry to say I don't see the lady in the bubble. The bubble alone is quite creative as by just looking at it, you're not sure how it arose. I like the more enriched colors, rather than pastels. The bubble itself seems like some kind of strange insect, with the head parts in the upper right. I wonder if that could be capitalized upon to make it even more so. |

Brian,
Your use of filters worked so well. I love the lighting you have achieved on this. The whole image glows with a fantastic light. Great composition and the design work on the building really stands out, probably due to the plastic wrap, but for whatever reasons it is a real pleasure to look at. |

Peter,
I agree that it needed something, Phill is right that the darker window may be better, but when I tried it, there wan't very much differentiation between the spider and the color of the window. I do like having a prey outside the window, much more interesting. Thanks for the idea. |

Phill,
This is fantastic in so many ways. I love your layers, the use of light and dark and reversals. Some are shadows, others stand out dramatically. It's one of the best creative shots I've seen in a long time. Congratulations. A hand shake. |
