15 May 20 Comment I hesitate to take part in this almost historic dialogue between Jeri and Brian. I think the thoughts of both are very contemplative, and yet enlightening. The bird was a wonderful capture, although sad. I am not a fan of hunting with guns, so do not look for me on any hunting party, or any shooting for sport at all, Having said that, you were certainly at the right place at the right time. I did see your other photos of the killing of the bird, and, you are right, one of them was a bit too graphic for me. However, I certainly congratulate you on your ability to capture this moment in time, May 15th
15 May 20 Comment What a wonderful combination! First of all congratulations on the fantastic aurora. Your choice of the yellows forest below works well because the lighting makes sense. Not a dark green but with enough light from perhaps the moon to give it impact. I agree that the moon should be a little smaller as it it uncomfortably close to the edge of the frame. Otherwise, a wonderful composite that you can really be proud of.

15 May 20 Comment Just looking at your photos and the Before and after photos, emphasizes the importance of having patience when contemplating a sunset or some similar nature event. We had that happen at Point Rleyes lighthouse a few years back. It was a camera club field trip and we ended the day overlooking the lighthouse. The sky did not look promising, and the call for dinner was stronger for all of us except for one stalwart member. So as we trudged too far away to make a run back, the sky turns really beautiful and the one member got the shot.
Your have a great leading line of the pier and although you divided the photo almost half and half between the sky and sea, it still works for me. I do like Bob's last version, where all the color is retained and some of the black area down below is removed. Lucky you to have stayed the course.

15 May 20 Comment Hi, All, including Dristi, of course,
This is meant to be her headshot for her bio, not this month's entry. But it shows her creative spirit quite well. Please welcome her to our group. She is our first ever member from Finland!

21 May 20 Comment Charles,
Wow! A very impressive image. This is a great composite and I like the way you used so many different blend modes. The clouds, moon and lighting all add to t the drama of this picture. I don't know what PSA's rules are for the use of stock photos in a creative image, but our local rules do not allow that. If PSA does, fine, all the better. I looks like the preponderance of the image is your own work. You have melded the separate photos with great precision. Excellent work and a fitting first image to our creative club.

21 May 20 Comment Phil,
I love the concept that originated in your mind. It reminds me of the Bletchley girls during WW II in England. I agree with some of the other commentators that the first panel on the left should be eliminated because nothing in it echoes anything else in the composition. The image has a threee=dimensional feeling too it, which is very important as it takes it out of the realm of flat computer screen into something that has more meaning like a three-D tic-tac-to or chess game.
Interesting work.

21 May 20 Comment Reminds me of a cow sticking its tongue out at me. It works well, but I would prefer not to see the bright colors of the car as it distracts me from enjoying the composition you have created. I would either fill that in with black or darkest he red areas considerably, I love those sidewalks characters. Yellowstone has bison on almost every corner. May 15th
21 May 20 Comment Brian,
How did you ever get shots of Chernobyl? Seems a long way away, and also a still dangerous area. The swirly things you did with the liquify tool really give it that sense of chaos and disaster, that one thinks of in relation to the catastrophe in
Chernobyl. I have to admit that I really would have like to have seen the originals of the three cities. Your version certainly gives it a feeling of a meltdown.

21 May 20 Comment Peter,
I don''t think this is too busy at all. To me it resembles a strange colored plant, a succulent for sure. I am still uncertain how you managed to get all of those colors from a predominantly red and green scenario. Unlike Brian, I love the top blob which has almost a complete spectrum of colors in it. I am ever so curious as to how that was achieved, but it certainly works for me. Limiting this to two colors, would be so much more boring. I commend your patience for having hung in there with this complicated technique until you achieved success. Very impressive.
