Rick,
A good balance between the smiling balloon and the two on the lower right. I recognize that balloon from the time I was there. You have great exposure and composition. I like the way the two lower balloon are "bowing" to the main subject.
I see nothing to change. Good capture. |

Bob,
I do find this a bit dark for me. I agree that there may be too much foreground. The concept is lovely. I wonder if your club and council has any rules against adding a sky that you did not create? We do at the Northern CA Council of Camera Clubs. I guess PSA does not care. You went to a lot of work to shows something unusual and you have succeeded. Just cut off a bit of the foreground.

Phil,
Great you got in so close and enhanced the colors of the birds. Compositionally excellent and I love the sky which I assume you put in. Is the left cormorant touching the beak of the right one? I wasn't sure. I can't think what to do to make this better. Nice work,

Bob,
Thanks for the idea. I like what you did to extend it. I'm not sure I'll do anything else to it right now. I've shown it in Pictorial, but not in Creative in my club. I'll try that and see what happens.
Thanks again. |

This seems very appropriate for New Year's. Lots of feeling of celebration and a sense of fireworks going off with all the red and flames. You have very creatively combined your multiple layers in an appealing way. I like the frame you used. I know a excellent photoigrapher who uses that kind of frame, Huntington Witherill. You might look up his work. His creative images are exceptional. |

The chairs I like, not so sure about the white shadows, although they pick up the colors of the foam in the waves. Great composition and colors. I would have loved to see the original with the original colors. Your reversal works well here, although, as I said, the white shadows are not turning me on. I, too, love using reversals. You may have seen this one that I entitled "Oriental Egret" |

Ugh! I took that shot a loooong time ago, way before the virus. I hope no-one catches it. |
