Rick,
This works so well in many different ways. First of all you were lucky to have a friend who was so buff. Centering this and your use of many filters to achieve what looks great was a wonderful work of art. I love the final color scheme and how you photographed his arms as the center of attention. I wouldn't change a thing on this. Very nice work. |

The lighting here is so magical I love the sun-touched grass which leads up to and surrounds the house. It looks like a place I would love to go. Good for you getting up early in the morning to take it. Were you staying in the house?
Just lovely. |

I used Aurora HDR to convert the falls into something more exciting. It is a new program to me that came highly recommended, but I soon discovered that it was not good at aligning three different handheld images. But then I discovered that it could do the same look just using a single image, sir it redeemed itself. The waterfall was actually a three bracketed HDR. Since then, I have been using Aurora with single shots. |

Sorry to be so late. Susan, I really love the way you have posterized the colors, simplifying the image and turning it into a painting. I may have put the wrong one up as your final image, but I do prefer the color treatment. It's interesting how you introduced the brighter areas on the left and foreground, which were not in the original. The bright areas to the top of the woman and to the left really emphasize and make her stand out. Maybe the bright blue in the foreground could have been toned down a little, but I love the blue colors. The sepia toned image is also good, but it's the colors that make it for me. |
