Susan,
Something so simple with a really strong background works well as you have proven. I like that you retained some definition in the twig, so we are not seeing a total silhouette. Good idea to lighten the center of the background making the twig really stand out. I don't see anything i'd do to change it, but I will suggest that you use images that haven't already been judged or won awards as our guidelines suggest. The idea is to get feedback on images that you are not sure about, or you are trying a new method, or you want to see what our members think of something you like, didn't do well in CC, and are looking for some suggestions for improvement. |

I love in camera effects, so natural, as opposed to our many filters that change the looks of the image. You are very creative, Brian, and, in general, your result of moving the camera works very well, producing an intriguing and mysterious outcome. I would suggest cropping the top of the image down to just above where the white lines on the upper left begin as the upper part is a bit spotty for my taste. We all should try camera motion more than we do. One of the many in camera effects is multiple exposure, which can go up to at least 9 exposures with camera rotation or motion, also a fun capture. |

I have to say that I like the effect in the middle of the sunflower, so I guess it's subjective. It makes it look more creative to me. |

Marie,
Very beautiful rendition of a rose, no matter where it was taken. I love the colors in the background, your composition, and your take on using Topaz. This is very well constructed and you have done an admirable job.
PS We are sorry to lose you to the group. Think about rejoining in the future, if you find time. |
