This close-up almost wants to make you eat them. But then, they are poisonous.
Anyway, you filled the frame very well, excellent composition. You handled the background very well, with only a few leaves showing and the rest lost in black. The highlights and shadows are a little strong as you took this in the sunlight. BTW, was the water added or actually there from dew?
Altogether a lovely presentation. |

Carmen,
Your lighting is excellent on the orchids and vase. I like the reflection on the black shiny surface which you created, but maybe would have removed the one spray of yellow orchids showing in the bottom left. Otherwise, in my opinion, as very well-done still life |

Linda,
A very beautifully colored night photo. Well-lighted with excellent composition. Although the fountain is centered the two elements left and right are quite different and bring a sense of balance to the image. The blues and golds are complementary so go well together. It all goes to show how capable the iPhone is as a camera. |

Ojars, I apologize for being so slow this month getting out comments.
This is a fun image pulled together out of unbelievable elements that you creative mind was able to construct. It is so ephemeral with the spectral colors. These colors in this format are never found on balloons but the concept of colored balloons is certainly created here. The crazy bark things are cute. The only thing I don't like too much are the holes at the beginning of the balloons. In real life, (of course this is not real life), there would be no oval opening, just a space between the basket and the balloon. I love your composition and your unusual approach to ballooning! |

Nancy, Sorry for being so late with my commentary.
You've added a great deal of color to this image. I had never heard of a soccer ball brush, but now I have and you used it to good stead. You've also given a strong feeling of motion to a still image with the use of your various brushes. You have a real artistic feel for this. They are using these kinds of brushes on the intro to the Miss Fischer Murder Mysteries series on PBS, also very effectively. I might suggest a little less white coming off her hair, otherwise a wonderfully creative composition with a lot of blood, sweat and tears. |

Alan,
Sorry to be so late with my comments:
I see a concept is this one which is perfect. I love the way you duplicated two of the people in the painting, as well. The train give you your surrealistic aspect of this composite, Extremely well done! |

John, A seemingly simple way to convert a nice still life into something more exotic. Too bad you have to buy Paintshop Pro to get this filter, as it looks very exciting. Good selection of how to put this together; the three-fold does seem to be the best although we haven't seen any others.
Good job! |

The blue and gold posterization works well together, but maybe watch the flesh-colored hole in her rear end. You might consider adding more color there, as well. I do like her pose. |

Sorry, I was remiss to be so late. The ladder is wonderful as is the treatment of the oil paint feeling on the rest of the photo. I might have been tempted to move the castellation hole one to the left, closer to the ladder. Your composition is great and I love the rickety old ladder with its shadow. |
