Very impressive. I particularly like the contrast between the colors of the sunlit rock and the dark clouds. Perfect time of day. |

Fun image. I like it. On the technical side I would tone down the cat's eyes a bit. Slightly darken the biscuits to show a bit more detail. But even as it is, this is a creative way to express your club's assignment. |

Beautifully captured. Perfect colors. In images like this I normally apply a slight vignette in the corners. |

The curve in the waterfall is very attractive. I would darken the bright part at the top of the waterfall and also the left lower corner a bit. I would suggest playing around with the white balance to see if the blue color cast on the water can be reduced. |

I like the colors in this image. My first thought was: get rid of that building in the background as it dominates the image and is in sharp contrast to the rest of the architecture. It's a lot of work to do that, but the current lockdown might be the right time to do that :). As others have indicated, I would also remove the lanterns at the top. I somehow feel that the image is not straight. Is it, or it is my eyesight?

I think that you captured the scene very well. The waterfall is beautiful and I like the fine detail in it. I would have preferred this to be in portrait orientation as the large rock in the lower left takes attention away from the main subject, the waterfall. |

Jon, thank you for your comments. This image should not be judged on it technical merits, the way PSA judges do. It is an image that tells a story: the woman on her phone, apparently not interested in what is being said. The guy behind her, me, playing with his phone and photographing the scene in front of him and plainly not with the speaker. As I have indicated previously, I do not photograph for judges - I rarely enter images into competitions - I photograph for my self. |
