Great shot of that cat.The detail in the fur is very attractive, Although you darkened the background, I would suggest darkening a bit more still. |

This is a nice landscape shot. The ship entering the harbor is a strong focal point. I suggest doing a gradual, darkening gradient along the bottom of the image to draw attention more toward the middle. |

The converted image is, in my opinion, more attractive than the color version, especially since you lit up the carver's face. The rubble behind him is distracting: it is too light and too busy. Something needs to be done to tone that down. Maybe you could tone down all of the background and parts of the foreground so that the carver stands out more. |

There is not much that I can add after the excellent comments from Jon and Zolt. My first reaction was to darken the image and increase the contrast, although that may have some unwanted consequences.I suggest you experiment with the image and see what you can come up with. |

A beautiful image. It seems to send a message (although I don't know what). I love the strong black lines against the white background, the contrasts. The monk adds to the overall attraction of the image. |

The conversion to monochrome has been very effective. I love the dramatic feel of this image. |

Thank you for your comments. I also noticed those "imperfections", but since I was not striving for total perfections I left them untouched. Especially that strand of hair adds character to the image, I feel. |
