You did a beautiful job in exposing this just right. The tree on the left and right frame the cabin (what a shame that it is no longer there) effectively. They received just the right amount of light to see they are there without being a distraction. |

I love simple images of trees and water like this (and I love making them). They represent, like this one, so effectively the atmosphere this time of year. I had not seen the wires until someone pointed them out. They are easily removed in PS/content aware cloning. The cropping at the bottom brings an overall harmony to the image. |

Beautiful soft colors, with the reflection in the water the center of interest. The green shrubs in the foreground provide debt to the image.Well done. |

I have recently became aware of these balls. I may buy one as they seem a lot of fun to work with. As I am not familiar with them, I wonder if it were possible to keep everything within the ball in focus. I find the out of focus area on the left somewhat distracting. I like the idea of using the tulips' color as a background, although it seems a bit strong. |

Good action shot. Love the expression on his face.I suggest removing the pole behind the kayaker. |

This is a very pleasant, almost comforting image of a rural scene. Beautifully done. I agree with others that I would darken the sky a bit (don't crop)as it distracts from the main area.
I agree with Jon on the comments he made about judges. I just sat through a presentation at my camera club that was basically on how to please judges. I rarely submit images in competitions because: I photograph for my myself (keeping viewers in mind) and I do not photograph for judges. |

Becca, thanks for your comments. I like the idea of a border (Jon suggested that too, plus some more space on top). As to the title, that's a great idea. I renamed it "Purity" (thought of calling it "Virginity" but that might be a bit controversial). |
