About the sky: I opened two images in PS: the landscape and the sky. In the sky image I did a "select all"and then edit/copy. In the landscape image I did edit/paste, resized the sky so that it would fit above the landscape and the with a layer mask I remove the part of the sky that overlapped the landscape. |

I say "wow"!. A perfect example of a decisive moment. The image is beautifully executed. Great job of eliminating the background. I would not change anything. |

I like the beautiful colors and the placement of the bird. Beautiful. I am a LR fan and in my feedback I straightened the horizon (which required some cropping) and put some slight detail in the shadows. I recommend using Topaz Studio, which is a lot easier to use than LR or PS. And it is free. Go to topazlabs.com to download it. |

A beautiful early morning image (am waiting for a foggy morning here). I like the idea that you included the signpost (which has no apparent relation to the trees) and made it the center of interest, as evidenced by the title of the image. Very creative. |

I love the colors and the way you re-framed the image. The birds make for a nice additional detail. The silhouette against the brightly colored sky is very effective. LR has a function that straightens vertical structures. You may want to try that. |

I like the way you processed this, but to me, the overall image is rather smudgy.
Brad: thanks for your review of Topaz Studio in the Journal. I have used the program fora couple of months, but your article points to a lot of things that I did not know and plan to explore. Thanks! |
