The red color is a great background for the twig, Susan. My only suggestion which seems unnecessary since this photo has won awards already, would be to extend the bottom of the twig down to the edge of the photo, continuing the diagonal line. |

I like what you've done here, Brian. I've heard of this technique before but have never tried it myself. It might be a great way to make textures to use with other photos.
The only suggestion I'd make is to clone out the tiny, pointy, white spot at the top center edge of the image which I find distracting.

Joan, you did a wonderful job of eliminating the distracting background on the original image, and the golden leaves really pop. Would you consider masking out the center so you could see the original part of the flower? To me, the center looks too much like netting on the flower and distracts from the work you've done on it. Just a suggestion. |
