Nancy, while I've seen other renditions of photos reflected on a surface, yours is unique and lovely. The screen effect is beautiful as are the colors you used. Merry Christmas! |

I loved your image last month but think this is a further improvement. The only thing that bothers me a bit is that the foot with the shoe seems to be resting on the edge of an object in a manner that would be uncomfortable given his relaxed expression. There might be more to that object that the texture is covering and I realize I'm just nit-picking here. Your photo is beautiful, the effects are amazing, and I do love it! |

Wow, Brian! I never would have guessed that your image started life as the Hong Kong skyline. And I can easily see how it now has the reminders of a concentration camp. Again, wow! The shading, the addition of the color red, and the final photo are spectacular. I can see this mounted on the wall of a holocaust remembrance center anywhere in the world. It's breathtaking! |

Joan, even before I read the title of your image, I knew it was a representation of Van Gogh's Starry Night. And that's quite an effort you went through in order to achieve that effect. I love it! I must admit that I didn't even see the question mark effect until Brian pointed it out. I hope you don't mind but I had to take a peak at Van Gogh's masterpiece to see what, if anything, could be done to improve upon what you've accomplished. His tree stump is elongated and I guess you could have elongated yours using Transform in PS. And his question marks are sideways in his horizontal format which would be more difficult to do in a vertical frame. But that's only if you were truly trying to replicate his painting photographically. I do like what you've done and applaud your efforts. |

Thanks for your warm welcome and for your comments on my image, Brian. I had never thought of switching the thunderbolt to the opposite side of the photo. It fills in that empty space quite well. But the glow from the bolt might not give the correct effect either since the angle is off and I couldn't seem to correct it. I searched in vain for the Topaz Studio effect I had used but it will need a bit more detective work to accomplish that. I appreciate your suggestion and will keep trying but in the meantime, this is the result I got from flipping the lightning bolt. |
