Betty, this photo is beautiful! The soft colors, the sway of the palm trees and the delicate look of the ferris wheel are exceptional! In fact, I love the effect so much I decided to order the software myself. But it looks like it's only available for PCs and not Macs. Darn!

Thanks for the heads up, Jerry! I like your final image better than the original. The colors are sharp and well-saturated and the texture looks great. I also like the crop you've given it. Good work! |

Jerry, your image - both the original and the final versions - are very unusual. The circular "bin", the chains, and rope are beautifully defined. But if it were not for your description, I would have no idea what I was viewing. I'd love the see the contents of the bin eliminated and a tiny world photo placed into it. Or possibly a head and shoulders shot of a model. But that would require a lot of masking and I'm not sure if the result would make it worthwhile. Seeing this in person must have been quite a treat, though. It's very unusual. |

This is a very unusual image of a very unique subject. I like the Fractalius treatment, too. It's a piece of software that I wish they would make for those of us who use Macs.
I do feel though that there is not enough definition between the sculpture and the building behind it. Since the Fractalius filter also made it difficult to see how the rabbit was constructed, I'd suggest masking out the filter on the rabbit and possibly desaturating the colors on the building and sky.
Because I'm away from home and have not yet been able to load PS onto my new computer, I can't try my own suggestions to see how they work. Sorry 'bout that! |
