Jerry, your idea would probably look great until the real petal started to wither. But I have seen greeting cards with real sand glued to a beach scene - a very nice effect! |

You've created quite a composite here, Tom! I like it but have some suggestions.
There doesn't seem to be enough separation between the mountain and the starry sky and orb. Perhaps, using the Outer Glow layer style on the mountain segment/layer of the image would do that for you.
I like the orb but wonder if it could be improved by using a warm color filter on it. As it is now, the cold gray orb doesn't seem to be in sync with the warm tones of the rest of the photo.
A midnight blue sky instead of a black one might also be a positive change.
Finally, I think I'd move the orb further to the right so that the left side of it doesn't cut your image right down the center.
I hate to make so many suggestions since I think your creativity is excellent! |

Wow! I never would have associated your finished image with the rocks in the original, Jerry! You have a nice graphic which might, if desaturated slightly, also make a good background for a large and bold silhouette foreground, e.g. a trumpeter or a crowd looking skyward at fireworks. |

I like the transformation very much, Ian. My only suggestion would be to see if you can change the sketch diameter in the tree branches to something narrower so that you give a more delicate appearance to the branches. |
