Joan, this is very different from your earlier version using the clock. Now it is in it's natural environment not out in the wilds. To emphasise you title I would move the hands to a more random positions as to me they are too symmetrical. |

Very artistic feel. If you can send Pikes View (I think it was) as a .jpeg I will add it so folk can make more informed comments |

Welcome to Group 18 BOb with a striking image.
Yes, plenty sharp enough and I have no problem with the colour of the car. It is pity that detail is lost in the grill ahd the left side of the car (as we are looking at it). Would it be possible to recover this in Camera Raw? Another niggle is the shadow on the backgound - perhaps that is someone peering in the boot (trunk I think you callit over there) |

I too have looked at the group 87 version and in my humble opinion this version in 18 is the more appealing. Isn't it interesting that we all have different views - just as 3 judges in an exhibition often mark differently.
Adding the stroke around a selection is a technique I gleaned from Digital Dialogue some years ago. In this instance I think it is too thick. My experience suggests just one or two pixels is enough.
Bob's mono version works well as the stroke is not as obvious.

Very effective image and the choice of mono has given it a real punch. Great work. |

Bob, I just love trees having spent my professional career as a Forest manager. The bare branches were the attraction.
I do from time to time look through images taken years ago and find that there are many previously passed by which with advances in software can be developed into competition shots.
I recommend doing this. |

You have done a great job with this image and colour popping the plug leads was a masterstroke.
Thanks for the memories.
