I have just found my version from 2009. Pretty sure it is the same building.

Jim, I spotted this image whilst scrolling through the current images. It immediately rang a bell. Is this Trondhiem and the office block close to the ferry terminal? If so I took a similar shot but was attracted by he colourful building as well as the stairway.
Your mono version and it's simplicity works so well. |

A fun images. You can just imagine Liberty floating away, but perhaps more balloons would be needed!
I feel that a little more work is required to open up the shadows of the statue and to hide the white line on her arm. |

No Angela, I had not spotted the face! Surprising what you can miss when looking at your own images. |

Welcome to group 18 Mike.
I have to say that on reading the first line of your explanation my immediate reaction was 'you must be joking' -not creative?, of course it is!. But thank you for telling us the rest of the story.
It is the finished image that I am always interested in and the thought and skill in producing it. The idea of placing the lighthouse in a snow globe was certainly appropriate for the Christmas season and the distortion you have applied works well.
A great first contribution.

A most striking piece of work. Great imagination in the first place to think of combining the two artworks. You have cut out the head very well and it fits into the space in the painting pretty well. I might suggest that a little movement to the left would have aligned the two shades of yellow? Very well done. |

I love the patterns and textures that your various manipulations have produced. A piece of modern art. |

This is clever composition. At first I thought it was flip and join image but now I think it is just the sun you copied and placed on the opposite side. Works well with the recession in the mountains. |

This is a very arty shot, but perhaps just a bit too much so. The composition is OK but I feel that I need to see a touch of detail somewhere in the image. That of course not possible in this case as all your creativity was 'in camera'. |

Lovely lighting of those apples. What I would really like to see is square version as the letter box does nor sit easily to my eye. |
