24 Oct 17 Comment PS. Are you able to comment on the other images before time expires? Oct 30th
24 Oct 17 Comment I understand what you mean Judith if it is your intention to create a record shot. But we are a creative group and this means that we break some conventional boundaries as we seek to present a different take on our original photographs. So I might well choose to select just the head of the statue of Liberty and then do some further manipulation. Tom's crop in my view transfers the interest in the image to the three faces and makes it a people shot. We all have a different approach to our pictures. Oct 30th
24 Oct 17 Reply Thanks Tom - I haven't got round to it yet but it is certainly an improvement. Thaks to Marie for spotting the issue. Oct 21st
24 Oct 17 Reply Hope you will try it and that you see this Oct 19th
24 Oct 17 Reply Oh I see what you mean! How often we overlook these little details. Oct 18th
24 Oct 17 Comment We have just experienced the tail end of hurricane Ophelia so this is a very topical image. Ireland took the brunt with some roofs blown off but here in West Wales we escaped with high winds a few branches off trees and lots of leaves and high tides. Your reworked image is certainly more believable. So how about swapping the birds for leaves and branches?
A great idea in the first place.

24 Oct 17 Comment As this image open on my laptop I saw exactly what Marie was thinking about, just the top two thirds. It shows some evidence of manipulation in the background - can you tell us how this was achieved? Oct 18th
24 Oct 17 Comment I really enjoyed this image Jerry, the colours and the grittiness. You have great imagination and skill to make an arresting image out of something rather ordinary. With this type of image I would often add a border using the the inner glow option in Photoshop. Oct 18th
24 Oct 17 Reply My intention in separating the layers was to show this as a tryptic. I will try a version without the lines when I can access my PC again. It threw a wobbly again today and I'm awaiting a fix and meantime using my old laptop. Thanks for the suggestion. Oct 18th
24 Oct 17 Comment I have heard about this software but resisted complicating my image making with yet another application.
A creative piece of work even if it did not originate from a photo. It is the work of a creative mind and all power to you arm.The bottom third looks a little dark and unfocussed and I would suggest trying to brighten. By the way are there not three planets? the third in top right.
