It would have been 2 years ago, and was taken with my little favorite camera a Nikon P100, with its 26 times zoom lens. |

The two versions tell different stories. The original concentrates on the storm to the exclusion of the background vista. The second version concentrates more on the background, which shows a more beautiful scene. It depends on what you want to use them for. |

The more I look at this picture the more I find.
If you use your screen slider and crop the bottom to eliminate the lower black clouds, then you will see the golden snout and head of another wild animal. But that is not all, for to bottom right of that, there are three little teddy bears, |

Another thought from my memory box. I remember when I was with the US Navy at Pensacola,Florida, in WW 2, at start of every day in the summertime, there were beautiful blue skies. BUT, by 11.0 am. high columns of black clouds and rain began to appear. Then in mid-afternoon they began to depart and by evening, the fabulous blue skies returned. |

I seem to remember that the name "panhandler" goes back many centuries ago, to the gold rush days when would be prospectors spent a long time going to parts of America, which were known for finding gold. Pans were used for sorting water from streams and also freshly dug up soil. Panhandlers was the name given for those using them. |

I have had another look at this. The clarity of the detail is amazing. You were lucky to have been there at the right time.
I like the smug look on the Alpacas face. Fancy taking an alpaca for a walk on a lead - WOW! |

I have another look at this. Moving my screen slider down, I was able to crop the sky down to an inch above the skyline. This makes the beauty of the foreground and middle distance landscape stand out more. It depends on what you want tO use it for? |

I am sorry, but too much of the storm spoils the picture and does not impress me. I still prefer the detail OF the highlights in the foreground and the background as lit better by the setting sun. |

I think that putting the church in the center gave the picture a better balance. If I had moved to the left, that would have cut out the tree on the right and included more trees on the left. |

I am going to use that word again. This is a fascinating picture. The crooked rail across the front has a bulge which points to the rainfall beyond, and there is even a splash of red sunshine on one of the supports. Then before the rail there is what appears to be a stream, or is it just wet from the passing rain. Because this is the alternate picture, it shows more of the interesting landscape beyond the rails. Is that an old spent volcano in the centre? I had thought of cropping out the dark sky, but doesn't it just hold the picture together. |

The last time I saw one of these, it was in a garden in France. I like the way you have caught it and darkened the background to give more emphasis to the detail of the petals.
The inclusion of the two buds is also a bonus. |

I think that you have caught and cropped this just right.
To me, I gives resemblance of a monster. Just below the sparkler there is an eye and following down there is details of its trunk and even a large tusk. The sparkler is in the right place to set it off. |

When I first looked at the color version before increasing the size, I thought that the "rock" was a vehicle of some kind. Perhaps the rock on the right could be cropped off. It makes for a kind of distraction. Otherwise, I prefer the tones of the rock version. The original looks flat and uninteresting to me. |

A fascinating picture. May I suggest cropping the clouds at the top, to give more attention to the cloud formation below. I am interested in the central cloud at the bottom. This gives the appearance of a wild animal or even a crocodile with jaw about to grab something. Is it the sun or moon. |

An interesting picture. Being 95 myself, I have to say that I hate old men with white beards. They belong to the middle ages and were banned in WW 2 to prevent transfer of diseases. |

When I first saw this, I thought of a spiral staircase, but the fact that they are bottles of whiskey, makes it more appealing. Added to which, I have Scottish family conections. |
