4 Jul 17 Comment Interested to see that these were "wind Pumps" for pumping water. The general use for these in the UK and Europe, was for grinding grain, such as wheat and barley, ie in the middle ages, before motorisation. Jul 14th

8 Jul 17 Comment I was interested to see use of the word "soccer". On this side of the pond, it is called football, because it is played only by kicking a round ball. In fact touching the ball by hand is a foul and gives a free kick. Goals are scored using a keep net. Over on your side, it is played with an oval rugby ball. It is seldom kicked and only scored by running over the line - not touching down like in rugby over here. If you run over the line here, it does not count. We have games of Football, Rugby Union and Rugby League. You only play handball and carry it.
See what I mean ?

13 Jul 17 Comment The man in black with a beard, spoils the picture for me.
There is, unfortunately, a modern trend for younger men to emulate our forerunners, the apes. We went through TWO WORLD wars without them, more to avoid the spread of infection, through close living in barracks, ships, trenches, etc.

15 Jul 17 Comment Another thing that intrigues me is that three of the pictures match as presented, in that they are angled in the same way, from bottom right to top left Jul 15th
15 Jul 17 Comment This is an interesting picture, especially as the line of the birds bodies is commensurate with the lines of the roof structure. In addition, the sound from the bird with open beak, is replicated by the change in color of that roof. Jul 15th

20 Jul 17 Comment This takes me back to yester year. I remember using one of these in an office as a young man. I shall be 95 next month. Jul 16th
20 Jul 17 Comment I agree with what the others have said. This scene has become one to hang on the living room wall. May I suggest cropping the top, just above the sunlit cloud, and a sliver off the bottom.

20 Jul 17 Comment There must be a storey behind this, but you are savouring the reason for yourself. A nice idea. Jul 10th
20 Jul 17 Comment I would crop the picture just below the sprig sticking out. This would concentrate more on the tower scene. I am intrigued by the rocket shape next to the tower. Is it about to go into orbit ? Jul 9th
20 Jul 17 Comment For me, the colors are fascinating, and the picture tells a storey. The cat seems to be cross having that shoe pressing down on it's back. The word "deb" makes me relate the pic to the lovely owner.

23 Jul 17 Comment Had another go at this. I cropped the top, but cloned the bird up there lower down. Then I cloned out the bird on the extreme right. I tried to darken the shape of her hand, but could not find anything of the right size to use. Jul 31st
23 Jul 17 Comment My second comments here were intended for Adelet's. My right hand is useless, so my poor old left hand got it wrong. Jul 30th
23 Jul 17 Comment Yet, Here's one more. Jul 24th
23 Jul 17 Comment Here is one eliminating the boat on the left. I have also tidied up the rushes. Should we also eliminate the boat at the centre top ? Would it make the picture look too bare ? Jul 24th
23 Jul 17 Comment Had another look at this. I have cropped to a smaller size and tried to get rid of the blotches at the top and the heavier white lines across the centre of the larger firework. Jul 22nd
23 Jul 17 Comment Had another look at this. Cropped it closer and cloned out some of the clashing bits. Do you like it ? Jul 22nd
23 Jul 17 Comment I like this arrangement especially as it includes the foreground with the spectators. May I suggest cropping out the blue and red blotches at the top. Would it also be possible to clone out the horizontal lines across the top firework and restore the thin downward lines in the head of that firework. Jul 10th
23 Jul 17 Comment Quite a lovely, spectacular image. May I suggest cropping the left side, so as to make the confines of the top image match those of the bottom image. ie to bring them more into harmony with each other. Jul 10th
23 Jul 17 Reply Thanks Dave. I missed the face before. Now I see it! Jul 9th
23 Jul 17 Reply It came out as black and white, because, although it was a fine day, the background was a bright out of focus white cloud. Jul 9th
23 Jul 17 Comment An interesting little beasty. I suggest cropping a tad off top and bottom to bring the object more into the centre of the frame. Jul 9th
23 Jul 17 Comment Thanks Shirley. A lovely pic. I have added my comments to group 20. Jul 8th
23 Jul 17 Comment I would suggest concentrating more on the action. I have attached my version, which eliminates most of the balloon shape and the out of focus left hand side view. Jul 8th
23 Jul 17 Comment I did crop the bottom quite a bit, but I left the bottom of the pier uprights and I liked the swirl water below them. Jul 5th
23 Jul 17 Comment This a a fascinating creation. Adding the eyes, the background and the swirl at the bottom makes the picture stand out.
As far as exhibitions are concerned, try it in those offering a "Creative" section. It should do well.

23 Jul 17 Comment An interesting picture. I think that the close up tells the better storey. It would have lost something if the whole hinge was shown in a wider shot. Jul 5th
