Both images are well-done - sharp, conveying action and without distracting elements. The ball and the dust gives a sense of action and movement. Great image. How many did you have to take to get good shots. Motor Drive needed here! |

You were obviously well placed to be able to get the whole float captured without distracting elements. A fun image - well captured. |

Yes, a food image of the Lioness, but I too would crop out the out of focus lion in order to make a stronger image. |

The yellow stem, is indeed and integral part of the plant, but I might tone it down to make it less obvious. Nice, sharp image. My wife submitted one of these she took in New Zealand in a US Nature competition and it was disqualified - we never found out why! |

Great shot - shame about the sky. If you are not going to enter it for a Nature Competition, you could replace the sky.
Could you being more detail out in the wings, I wonder? |

It was a Sigma 50-500mm lens - one that I no longer use as we have changed from canon to Olympus! |

Now you are asking! Biology is not my strong suit. When I was at school in the 1950s you only did Biology if you were no good at Latin - and I had to do Latin
Wikipedia says: Polecat is the common name for mammals in the order Carnivora and subfamily Mustelinae. Polecats do not form a single taxonomic rank; the name is applied to several species broadly similar to European polecats, the only species native to the British Isles. |
