Interested to know how you got this effect. Is it easily explained? |

One trick is to make a duplicate copy and set the blending to multiply as in this example. You can always dial down the opacity to get the effect you like |

Both versions have impact and both work very well. Which you prefer is a personal choice. |

I agree that removing the blue pieces might balance the picture a little, but I am concerned about the blue swan which seems to get bluer in the various exposures shown on this page. Otherwise a nice shot. |

As the others say, good leading lines and good detail but it does need a focal point. You might consider putting something in to focus on. |

I agree that the white is too startling - perhaps colour her dress |

Don't know whether you have Marmite, a food spread, in the States. We have a saying in the UK that a reaction is like your view of Marmite - you either love it and hate it. This image appears to be a Marmite image. Unlike some of the others, I love it! (although I hate Marmite!!)Whilst it is not exactly a high key image - where everything is soft - I think that it is a very effective treatment, and has much more impact than a darker or straight version would have. Well done. |

I'm not sure what you mean by "teen". Is it a typo? |
